Services
The following information is provided as a cut-and-paste resource for conference organizers, media professionals, podcast hosts, and other interested parties. A lot of kids who struggle with anxiety, anger, school, & big life transitions can get stuck. At La Plata Family Therapy we partner with parents & kids to create a custom plan to get unstuck so that parents and kids can move forward and enjoy life together.
We do accept insurance! We are committed to making access to quality care for you and your family as affordable as possible, which is why we are proud to partner with many insurance companies. Please call our office to ask if one of our providers is in-network with your insurance company if you don't see it listed above.
We believe everyone deserves a chance to overcome their struggles so they can life a full and joyful life. Having worked with a number of the clinicians that are now a part of La Plata Family Therapy, I can say that this is a skilled, experienced and professional group with compassion and empathy for those they serve.
We help children clearly communicate their feelings (anger, anxiety, worry, etc) so they can articulate what they need so parents don't have to guess and can quickly provide support for their child. We equip children with the tools to manage big emotions and find creative ways to self-soothe so what used to take minutes or even hours, now only takes a few moments.
We believe everyone deserves to be mentally and emotionally supported regardless of past-decisions or current life circumstances. These are typically hour appointments reviewing the progress of the goals and to make any medication adjustments. We work with individuals and families to support healthy lives & relationships so they can enjoy life together.

I brought my 7 year old daughter into Angela’s office several months ago desperate for help. My daughter has been struggling with severe Sensory Processing Disorder for years. We have been to several different doctors and OT clinics over the years without any real progress for her. This Therapy practice is incredible. I started working for Hillary and the practice in June as the intake Coordinator. Hillary and her amazing team of therapists are compassionate, kind and experienced in providing the kind of care kids and families need in La Plata County and the four corners. We process all types of insurance to assist anyone in having access to mental health care. Which is so needed.
