I can't say enough good things about Opt Eyewear! Jeb and Jessica are the best. They know their stuff! They have spent so much time with me selecting the best frames with honesty and care. Jeb even pulled out the frame for me with the scalloped edges that were not even on the floor. I get compliments on them all the time. This is a must store for distinctive, fashionable eyewear and the best in service. Highly recommend!

Most friendly eyewear store I have ever been to. I can't speak for the products because I only came in to have my sunglasses adjusted, but the owner was patient, meticulous, and fixed my sunglasses free of charge. It is currently taking appointments via its website, and I felt safe being the only customer in the store. The place is clean, stylish, and professional.

Recently popped into Opt with a strange request - I had recently tried contacts for the first time, and was having trouble getting one out (what an amateur, right?). Regardless, Vedra (or as I refer to her, blessed optometry angel), jumped into action without any fear and saved my eye from further agitation. I don’t live in the immediate Providence area, but if I did, I’d be a customer for life. Check out Opt, and ask for Vedra, she’s dope.

I purchased some glasses from Opt this year and love that the shop carries a bunch of independent eyewear brands— you can find brands from lindberg, face a face, mykita, and more. The transaction was seamless and the service was pretty good. The shop is out of network for insurance, so be prepared when you shop to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement at out of network rates.

I recently moved to the area, and in the process I broke my favorite pair of LA Eyeworks frames!
Jed recognized the frame immediately, and also knew the person who sold them to me in NYC by name.

I go to the bakery next door and finally stopped in. I had a few minutes between appointments and stopped in this cute eye boutique. Although I didn't purchase I will definitely return for some summer shades. I loved the selections and wasn't made to feel bad because I notified the shop assistant that I was only browsing and not making a purchase. Great selections and you can pull and park!

I bought a pair of Lindbergs here a couple of years ago because this shop was the only one who sells them in the area. They were pretty good about me trying out frames and when I was having a hard time adjusting to them, they made a number of attempts at my request. But the vibe I got from sales was generally unfriendly. I have been interested in considering another pair but I don't think I will go back.

I came in today with a friend who was looking to buy a pair of sunglasses. The shop looked lovely as does the merchandise although we didn't spend enough time looking as we chose to leave due to the dismissive and condescending attitude from the female sales clerk.

Finally after years of searching for the perfect eye glasses and professionals who actually knew what they we doing, I am happy to report I have found them. I must say that everyone at Opt Eyewear was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Garrett the licensed optician. He took the time I needed to be properly fitted. I have a difficult prescription and have never been completely satisfied in the past with my eye glasses. I went to Opt to support local business. It started off fine , with me leaving ordering 2 pairs of glasses. When they told me the price , I realized I paid double what I generally pay but again I thought , support local business. Well, let's just say things go down as soon as they get your money. The women who deals with customer service after that is rude, pretentious and condescending. I had a voice mail with her on it telling one thing and she acted as if it was my fault I showed up when she told me to. Finally when my second pair of glasses came in she said sorry about the confusion.

What a genuinely wonderful place this is! I walked in with a broken and crooked pair of glasses, and the wonderful staff here fixed them for me free of charge. I came back with a different pair that needed to be adjusted, and they fixed them beautifully again. No matter how much I insisted, they would not let me even give them a tip. I will be coming back here to purchase a pair of sunglasses in the future, if only to reward them for incredible customer service. They also have an amazing selection of frames on display. There isn't a better place for vision and glasses care anywhere near College

So many pairs to choose from I was forced to buy multiple. If I must wear glasses they must be great. Opt has a great funky, chic selection that you will not find elsewhere. I could not decide between 2 styles so I got both then figured I needed sunglasses also, such fun! They are a wee bit more expensive than the chains but it is worth it to support local small business, get great service and not look like everyone else. I have gotten so many compliments and total strangers stopping to give positive affirmations. Recommend for sure!

I stopped into Opt on this sunny afternoon with my Prada sunglasses. (Truth be told they were a terrific find from a shopping excursion at TJ's!) I threw them in the bottom of my purse and they emerged missing both of the plastic nose pieces, leaving them unwearable. The gentleman at Opt took a quick look and was happy to help with the simple repair and about five minutes later I was out the door with my like new glasses. Our family spends a lot of time outdoors, especially on our boat in the summer, and i wanted to get my husband an amazing pair of sunglasses for our anniversary. I didn't know much about them, but had been referred to OPT.
The staff was informative, fun, and incredibly patient, helping me try on numerous pairs of glasses and flipping through page after page of catalogs. I even went outside with a few pair after narrowing down the selection, and was amazed by the quality of the lenses. I usually wear my glasses instead of contacts to work so I need a good, solid, fashionable pair. The selection at Opt Eyewear was just what I needed. Yes, they are pricey. However, if you think about something that is going to be on your face that people will notice first (because hopefully they look at your eyes most as you talk) then you should make sure they look good.
The salespeople are knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. I do agree that the phone service should be a bit better- I called at the exact 14 day timeframe I was quoted and found out that they were arriving that day by mail
