I am a Portland-based fine art portrait photographer recently relocating from San Francisco with a passion for timeless, simple photos. With a background in design and the fine arts, I find inspiration in baroque lighting, foggy mornings, winter light, bare skin, and honest eyes. In my work I aim to capture the unique character of each subject -- when someone sees your portrait, they should feel like they have met you.
Outdoor photo sessions are perfect if you'd like portraits in nature - the woods or on the beach - or exploring an urban space. Adventure portraits are a great for personal as well as professional use. For those looking to update their online dating profile, outdoor portraits are a way to capture your personality.
Celebrate motherhood when you are your most radiant self. Maternity photography is one of my favorite types of portraits simply because pregnancy is beautiful - everything from how a woman's skin glows to the way way women's curves transform. Tip: When pregnant, the best time to have your maternity portraits scheduled is around 30 weeks into your pregnancy, when we can see your bump is visible.

Very talented and with an amazing attention to detail, Jaclyn Le sculpts you like clay into the perfect model for her photography. She knows how to compose the light, the angles and the entire setting to create the most flattering, memorable and timeless portraits. I'm a bit shy, but she managed to bring out my best in front of the camera.

When looking for a photographer to take photos of my grandparents, I immediately thought of Jaclyn because of her enthusiasm to work with different kinds of people. I requested to do the shoot at a place which has family significance, but is tricky in terms of lighting and space. Jaclyn made it work by scouting the location beforehand and ordering the shots to make best use of the moving natural light. Jaclyn is hands down the best photographer I've worked with. She is extremely patient, kind and funny. She makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera. During a photoshoot, she constantly gives you positive feedback, and when there might be a better angle for you or another way to pose, she demonstrates it to you in a way that is easily understood, and in a way that still makes you feel confident. The subjects of her photographs (including me) come out looking confident, strong and beautiful in her photographs. I'd highly recommend Jaclyn as your photographer!

We are so happy with how well our pictures turned out! Jaclyn did such an amazing job with our maternity photoshoot. It was such a special time for us and I honestly don't t think anyone else could have captured it as well as Jaclyn did. I had seen some of her previous work and just loved how beautiful and unique they were so I knew she would do the same for us. Jaclyn recently shot our wedding reception in Oakland and did an AMAZING job! We just got the final album back, and it made my mom cry happy tears.
