Kimi Photography; we aspire to be the photographer to capture your special moments, in your purest and most beautiful form. Please let us tell you a little about who we are. Kimi Photography is Portland family & newborn photographers. We are specialized in newborn baby photography. We also love capturing maternity, 1st birthday picture, smash cake sessions and family portraits.
We sometimes get clients who just want to have digital images. We understand the needs of digital data, but unfortunately digital data doesn't last a long time in peoples memory. We believe that creating art for our clients is one of the most important parts of being photographers. The portrait pictures we provide would have real meaning to your family and are more special even after 20-30 years later.
Maya Angelou perfectly summed up the joy, wonder, and awe of pregnancy when she said, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." The first time you hear a heartbeat, see the stirring of life that you created, feel the hope and miracle growing within you.these are the moments that leave you silent, without words to express the tumultuous wave of emotions that overwhelm you.
There's nothing more beautiful than capturing the wonder, hope, and dreams that parents have for their newborn. At Kimi Photography we pursue capturing and expressing the love and emotion in every photograph. Seeing mothers tear up with joy when they see that special image of their baby. Having dads chuckle and grin at their little one as he watches the images we create for the first time.
Family portraits are one of the more pleasurable photography sessions we have at Kimi Photography. The smiles and laughter of the children are so contagious. Because of this, the families often forget that they are being photographed. It is this fun and comfortable environment that Kimi Photography specializes in, allowing us to photograph you naturally and candidly.

Working with Kimi and Mike was a dream. They are so kind and gentle, they care about your vision and put in all the extra work to make your family photo dreams come true! Something else I loved is the large amounts of “props” they had available to you. From baby swaddles and headbands, to dresses for the mom, they’ve thought of everything. Working with Kimi Photography will not disappoint!

Kimi is amazing. I have worked with several photographers, and she stands out above all of them. She's really skilled at working with newborns (and their tired parents!), and she took so much time to make sure our photos were exceptional. We will forever treasure the photos she took. We plan on going back for other milestone photos as the children grow up.

It takes a very special kind of person to work with a new baby the way Kimi and Mike do! They set up perfect poses to capture our newborn's sweetest features and expressions, and were so calm and gentle in handling him. I also appreciated the offer to rest on the couch in their cozy studio while they worked! We were completely impressed with their creativity and professionalism, and are so thankful for the incredible images of our baby and our family during our little guy's first days.

We’ve used Kimi and Mike for photos several times and have always been so impressed with their care for their clients, attention to detail, and the overall quality of their work. The process has been easy and fun for us as the clients, and they take care of all the small pieces, making it seem effortless even though they clearly put lots of work into every project. They have become our go-to for family photos over the years, and in the process become even better friends. Absolutely worth every penny. Would highly recommend!

Kimi is not only an awesome photographer, she and her husband Mike are also incredible and amazing people! My wife and I had our first born (boy) in August and we decided to have newborn baby photos taken to remember our special journey. We are so lucky and blessed to have found Kimi Photography, and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for any photography needs! The whole process start to finish was more than we could have ever imagined and wanted! Kimi and her husband Mike were absolutely fabulous to work with and my wife and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful photography team. We were moving out of state 10 days after our new little boy joined us and Kimi worked with us to arrange his photo shoot and then review our images remotely via Skype.
Kimi is an extremely skilled artist and her patience and gentle demeanor with our 2 day old son was so amazing to watch. Just from our 30 minute consultation, she put together the perfect set of props and captured memories of our son that we will cherish forever.

We just LOVE the pictures that you were able to capture of Benjamin. We went into the session hoping to get 3-4 good images and left with a couple dozen. I have had Kimi take photos for numerous occasions(portrait, maternity, newborn) and have loved them all. She is friendly and takes really good care of the people she works with so that lasting memories are created. She is fun and lightens the mood during photo sessions when it can be a little nerve racking. Her work is outstanding and always watches for fine details.
