At Park Ridge we work together as a team to improve the quality of life of our residents. Our wide array of services enables our patients and residents to receive the medical care they need, the restorative therapy they require, and the support they and their families deserve. We serve many types of patient and resident needs - from short-term rehabilitation to traditional longterm care.
We believe that our nursing home is something special. Nestled into a quiet residential neighborhood in Park Ridge, our facility has been providing quality care since its founding in the early 1960's. With only 46 beds, we are able to maintain a homelike atmosphere not found in larger homes. Our residents enjoy a more quaint setting where the feeling of family sets the tone and the people know and care about one another.
Studies suggest that more than 75 percent of those with Down syndrome aged 65 and older have Alzheimer's disease, nearly 6 times the percentage of people in this age group who do not have Down syndrome. Adults with Down syndrome are now reaching old age on a regular basis and are commonly living into their 50s, 60s and 70s.
