We had the best time staying here! They allowed our two little dogs to stay with us and provided pet sheets for the dogs with an extra fee. The space was really nice, a two story cabin with a big comfy bed and a little deck on the second story. They provided a microwave and all the plates and things you need to eat on location. We took some nice walks around the area and met some friendly neighbors. While we visited, there was a nearby fire, so we didn't get to explore in the woods as much as we had hoped. That being said, we'll have to do that next time!

My friends and I absolutely enjoyed ourselves here! The guy in the office was nice, and the property itself is pretty! I felt like there should have been a little bit more toilet paper, lol as our cabin only had one and a half rolls for three days, and between two women, this was barely enough! We were glad that there was a kitchen but it is small, and not a lot of counter space to prepare meals. There are small refrigerators like dorm refrigerators so you can't fit very much in. Also, even though the refrigerator was turned out low it froze a lot of our groceries. Our bathroom was really nice

Came out for a bit of a getaway. On arrival everything looked great. Staff was very nice. However, woke up to an overwhelming smell of gas (we thought) only to find it wasn't gas from propane heater but was the smell of the sewer being dumped outside our cabin! Very disgusting! You spend $145+ on a place and this is what we get to enjoy? What makes it worse is the fact that my granddaughters, husband, and myself were walking around all day in this area. I will be checking out today and will see what they say about it but I do not recommend this place. Not for the amount of money spent or the fact

We had a great time at Bear Creek Motel & Cabin! The cabins were very homey and we appreciated the microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. We stopped here on the way to the Grand Canyon and it was so worth it! We went to the Gila National Park during the day and Silver City for dinner. We'd definitely stay here again!

I highly recommend these cabins. They have everything you would need for a nice getaway in the mountains. Bring your own food & drinks, some hiking or walking shoes this isn't in a city. We've stayed in 4 different cabins here, i absolutely loved each one of them. So cozy. The staff is awesome. P.s. they also have outside BBQ at each cabin don't forget charcoal. ENJOY!

This wonderful little relaxing hideaway is only a 5 1/2 hour away from Phoenix! What a fantastic place to stay to get away from the busy city and summer heat to sit among the tall pines and listen to the wind move through them.

The cabins are located a short drive outside of Silver City in a former mining town called Pinos Altos. Lots of cool history here. The cabins are a 15 minute walk to the Historic Center and holds the rustic Buckhorn Saloon where you can grab a great steak dinner.

Coolest cabins around. The interior is a mix of a nice 4 star hotel but you still have the self sufficient of making food and coffee. The people who work tHere are super nice and very helpful! If you're looking for a spot for a night or weekend in the wilderness but close to town this is the place! 10/10 on clean 10/10 on hospitality!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and loved this place. Very quaint and rustic and very clean. The property has so much character. We stayed in a two story cabin with a pretty view of the forest. The cabin smells wonderfully of a wood burning fireplace and does come with firewood to burn. We had a very thoughtful surprise waiting in our cabin when we returned from a trip to the Gila Cliff Dwelling park to celebrate our anniversary. Such a lovely touch. There is a steak house about 1/4 mile up the road that we very much enjoyed. We will definitely be back.

This place is epic. It's in the middle of the woods, with birds chirping and trees growing up through the cabin patios. The cabins are well appointed with full living rooms, large comfortable beds, private patios, clean bathrooms, a small refrigerator, and fireplaces. The people that run this place are so friendly. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the check in time technically ends at 7pm. If you are going to be later than that, typically they'll leave an envelope out for you. I'd recommend calling to communicate if you have a special circumstance like that. They are

Very friendly place. We really enjoyed our cabin. A tranquil setting within the forest and so quiet. Only noises we heard were wildlife (mostly birds). A nice location for day trips - Gila Cliff Dwellings, hot springs, etc. The cabin was clean and to our surprise came stocked with firewood and kindling for the fireplace. We would definitely return.

We loved staying in Bear Creek Cabins and I would recommend them to just about anyone.

When my family insisted on visiting us in Tucson, in July, for the second year in a row, I knew I had to plan something different. I didn't want to just spend a week at home in the air conditioning. I wanted to go somewhere cooler where we could spend some time outside. I remembered seeing Bear Creek Cabins advertising in Edible Baja. I had been waiting for a reason to visit.

It was my parents' first trip to New Mexico and I believe it was also the first time for my sister. Our group of five adults

Stayed for 2 nights with my wife and our dog. Perfect little cabin (#5) with plenty of hot water for showering after hiking all day. Right down the street from the saloon as well. Only drawback was no kitchen but wasn't a big deal for us. We hope to come back soon.

My wife and I have stayed here twice and have had a great experience both times. The cabins are tucked into a sort of "Ewok Village" in the pines of Pinos Altos, just above Silver City. They are small, but well-appointed. Each cabin has it's own fireplace and a supply of fragrant juniper for burning outside the door. Some units have a kitchenette, others just a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge. I can't say I love the decor: heavy wood meets Southern Living Magazine, but for a quick getaway from the big city it's perfect and like nothing else you'll find. I

If you are ever in the Silver City, NM area or looking for a unique getaway from Tucson, Phoenix or wherever, you should head to Pinos Altos, NM and reserve a cabin at Bear Creek. My wife and I love this place. We'd stayed several times and will continue to go back. Are most memorable time here was waking up and peering down from our Second Story cabin to see our Subaru covered in snow. We spent many enjoyable hours warming up in front of the fireplace in our cabin. Eventually we walked through the snow down the road to the Buckskin Saloon for some grub. Every stay here evokes new memories

I can't say enough great things about this little gem in the woods! At least 12 little cabins nestled in together near the Gila Cliff dwellings. The cabin was cozy, very clean and comfortable. You can use the Hot Tub up until about 5 pm and then they recommend private party (paid?) reservations, however, we went in the off-season and the office staff told us to help ourselves! They have a small outdoor ampi-theatre, conference hall, and what looked like a warming kitchen. Parking is a little tight. Host staffer, Daniel was AMAZING. Super friendly and helpful. My three kids asked if we can

For our 35th anniversary, I reserved a cabin (#2) for May 15, but rescheduled for a later date without any problems. The office receptionist was very friendly. The compound was very tranquil and clean. I was pleasantly surprised because the pictures I had seen didn't do it justice. The cabin had all the comforts of home: Dish T.V., fully-equipped kitchen sans dishwasher, fireplace, and a barbecue grill. It was a terrific get-away for us because we were looking for a respite from a big city where evergreens abound.

Reviews for cabins vary based on expectations and standards, I imagine. My general standards for lodging are shaped by Hyatt Place, Hilton and Marriott's basic rooms. Having never stayed in a cabin, my expectations were that at a minimum it offered the common comforts I get at hotels.

Bear Creek Cabins is not for folks who are used to hotels unless you can lower your amenity standards before arrival. There is no cell phone signals, wifi is unreliable, televisions are small, nothing about this place is fancy
