Garden City Optometrists is a full scope optometry practice that was started in 1916 by Dr. William Howard. It has been continuous since then, with a history of fourteen doctors between 1916 and now. The clinic offers complete eye examinations, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, appropriate referrals to eye surgeons, contact lens fittings, and the fitting, dispensing, and manufacturing of eyeglasses.
At Garden City Optometrists, the doctors and our entire optometry team are committed to providing advanced vision care in a professional and comfortable environment. Our primary eye care service includes a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function. In addition to eye exams and vision testing, the doctors and our team of optometry professionals provide testing for glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.

I saw Dr. Haussmann, who I would recommend to anyone. I also was very please with Danis, who assisted me with making a decision on my glasses and Shenoah and Rosalia for the time and patience that they took in the adjustment of my new glasses. I would highly recommend Garden City Optometrists to anyone who is looking for an eye doctor with a staff that is very knowledgeable.

Dr. Michael Houseman took great care of my 92 year old father, who can't hear very well at all, and who gets confused easily. He was very patient and kind, and spent extra time giving him the best prescription possible. When we went to get glasses, they were able to cut the lenses in house, very affordably.

Let me start by saying that you want to talk about a loyal customer? I never went anywhere else for 40 years, been buying my glasses here since 1978, THAT WAS till I went in to see about having a pair of prescription Oakley's looked at from a broken ear piece, They were quick to point out since they were no longer an Oakley dealer I was on my own??????? Now remember thats two new pair of glasses every three years, I guess they can live without me. Maybe another eye doctor place wants 40 years of my loyalty.

This place has been in operation for more than 100 years, so they must be doing something right. That "something" is prompt, professional service. I've never had to wait long for an appointment or to be seen once I arrive at the office. The staff knows what they're doing, and I've never walked away unhappy.

I was shopping for my third set of glasses from Garden City Optometrists. The entire staff got in on the experience, showing me frames that they thought would work well for me. We didn't find exactly what I was looking for, so they ordered some more examples. I've had nothing but great experiences with all of the doctors and staff here. See you guys in a few days for my new frames!
