So the food is phenomenal here. But there was no fortune in my fortune cookie? I can’t help but think it’s a sign that my days are numbered. I’ve been checking around every corner ever since. I can’t even take a bath anymore because I’m afraid that’s how things might end. I tried calling but they said they didn’t have my fortune either. Also the general tsos is slightly more tender than the sesame chicken but you can’t go wrong.

This used to be our favorite Chines restaurant in the Raleigh area - unfortunately we have seen a decline in the quality of food since the pandemic (take out service only). Our last 2 take out orders were not up to their usual standards, not sure what has changed, but something is different. Portions are skimpier (more vegetables and fillers, less meat and seafood), and the food was just bland. They are supposed to be reopening their dining room in July, hopefully they will regain their previous level of quality.

Always delicious and I hear they are making plans to reopen indoor dining soon. I so wish them success. Fast, friendly service orchestrated by such a lovely couple. I am anticipating their wonderful weekend brunches again where I have observed families, partners, and individuals immediately feeling connected to the staff and wanting for nothing. The service is top notch! And the prices so reasonable. A delight to visit for lunch, dinner or their past buffets with live piano entertainment! Hoping it's all back again.

Best Chinese Egg Rolls Ever!
The food is amazing. The portions are huge. The prices are reasonable. It's clean and nicely decorated, there is live piano for atmosphere, and very friendly staff.
We are originally from California, where Chinese food is a way of life. We've been here for three years and tried a lot of places. They've all been good, but this place was exceptional. I'm not usually a fan of egg rolls, but we ordered more to bring home. They're really good reheated, too.
Sadly, we're moving back to The West this summer. Wish we could bring Imperial Garden with us. I wonder if they

I have been going to this restaurant for the last 4 years. It is and has always been the best Chinese restaurant in Raleigh. I have never ate something there I didn’t like. Great customer service, however during covid I have noticed some new people who do not understand how they run their business. The owner takes your order on the phone and gives you a number and remember your number and pick it up at the window. They have created a very safe way of picking up food and sometimes you do have to wait. This business has been around since the 90s and we should do our part to keep them going!

My experience is for a to-go order. Dine-In experience may be better.
I was very disappointed trying out Imperial Garden. I might not ever try it again.
Nothing stood out. The portions were small, actually EXTREMELY small if you look past the half lb of broccoli they packed the container with.
The picture shows the size of a to-go entree I order from my usual spot, compared to the size from Imperial Garden, and the amount of protein in a dinner size entree (I'd guess between 4-6oz).
The food tasted ok, had the portions been bigger, with a more appropriate amount of protein, I would've definitely
