Ron Wimmer, owner and artist at Wimmer Photography, Wauwatosa, WI, has earned "Top Ten Photographer" status in the state of Wisconsin for 2021 by the Wisconsin Professional Photographer's Association. Wimmer also won Best High School Senior Male Portrait 2017 from the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association (WPPA), a 125 year-old nonprofit professional organization.
Wimmer's portrait will also be highlighted in the WPPA's Elite Collection going forward. Operating in Milwaukee for 29 years, Wimmer Photography specializes in high school seniors and business & corporate sessions. A former president of the South Eastern Professional Photographers Association and a member of the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association, he is currently working on his Master Photographer's Degree.

I can't remember when I didn't carry a camera. I've been inspired by images and art my entire life. My Uncle Ray got me interested in photography when I was about ten or twelve years old and continued to water that seed. Photography was a hobby of his and he enjoyed sharing it with me. He set me up with a makeshift dark room in my parent's basement and taught me how to process and print in black & white.
My senior photos made me cry for joy. Thank you so much Ron. All my life I've struggled with self confidence, and I've never felt more beautiful in my entire life. Loved working with Ron! It was raining so we took some great shots in the studio and rescheduled the outdoor session. LOVED the pictures he took at the park!

Ron is nothing short of amazing. Our family has used his talents several times and he has never disappointed. He is so comfortable and easy to work with it’s like spending the day with an old friend. He has an eye for detail and does gorgeous work. His prices are very reasonable and don’t reflect all of the years of expertise he puts into his art. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to work with Ron on a corporate branding shoot. It was overwhelmingly awesome to see all of the pictures right after the shoot and put them to use shortly thereafter. I have already had other colleagues work with Ron since and we have had a unified take away; we will all be back.

I stopped in for professional headshots coordinated through my department. The process was quick, we got shots taken in a couple different poses and it was over in probably 20 minutes. Mr. Wimmer sat with me and we went through the photos, process of elimination, together to get only the best ones. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for either studio photography or photo sessions out of doors, his candor in the studio and his portfolio would indicate it's go just as well.

When it comes to photography, there is no one better than Ron. He has taken 2 head shots for me thru out the years as well as some listing pictures for executive homes we have had listed. My headshots are, quite simply, the 2 best pictures I have ever had taken. His ability to put his clients at ease in a not so natural setting for many plus his professionalism puts him as one of the best in the industry and I will continue to refer him for years to come
