Our Service Department can repair many brands of powered equipment. From diagnostic to full rebuilds, our technicians can fix your machine's specific problem. Rates: Drop off your machine along with a diagnostic fee and we will call you back with a service quote. The diagnostic fee is applied to the service total once we receive authorization to proceed with work.

The shop is clean and well stocked with most everything you need as far as outdoor power equipment. They advertise constantly on Craigslist, so that is how I discovered them. The guys working there are nice and helpful. The reason for the 3 stars is that their prices for certain services are not charged at all the other shops that I've been to. I purchased a gas powered lawn equipment the day of my visit and during the purchase, they clerk offered to set it up and run it for me to insure that everything is in working order. I thought that was odd and thought that was a post Covid practice

I own a dessert truck and was having problems with my Honda generator. A bit of not staying on my maintenance schedule like I should. However, I was frantic that my generator was stopping and preventing me to serve a full shift. I pulled up with my truck highly stressed!!!! The guys told me what was wrong and what was needed to fix it. Needless to say I was on my way to my event with no stress and feeling great about thee customer service I had received!!! 2 Thumbs up from Me!

I love dealing with the people that work here. I have bought items here and dropped off various items for service and have always been taken care of. Shane and Santiago both helped me during the drop off of my riding mower last week and Santiago saw me, remembered my name and went out of his way to say hi while Shane was getting me written up!!

I could not find the Honda generator that I was looking for locally in Woodland. Saw online that they had them in Elk Grove. Since it is a fairly long drive, I called ahead to make sure. They had several of the 2200 model I was looking for and after a quick sale, I was back on the road home. Probably won’t use them for service, only because we have a dealership in Woodland, but would if I needed to.

There is no such thing as customer service here.
A couple of the gentlemen at the counter try to be helpful; however when there is a question they say the boss/owner has to take care of that and he isn't available right now.
The boss guy never returns calls.
Ended up finding another Honda generator dealer that was able to discover and repair the problem. The biggest problem is, they put me off so long, the warranty was over.
They must make so much money they do not need returning customers!

I called ahead to get get blades for my old Yard-Man riding mower. It only took a few minutes to find out they had them for a very reasonable price. They set my blades aside so I just had to go get and pay! No waiting in a long line to get into the store or wait to get what I wanted! Awesome people and service!

Oh my GOSH My old Honda push lawn mower purrs like BRAND NEW!! I have had it to other shops in past. This is the first time i feel like it has been truly been repaired like new.. BIG ROUND of THANK YOU'S to the MACHINE SHOP repair men in the ELK GROVE POWER EQUIPMENT and i will come again and i live in RANCHO.... WORTH THE DRIVE and ever so reasonable priced very fair....in these times.

I went there to have my weed eater gas hose and spark plug replaced. Simple for them, right? Because it wasn't an item they sold or carry, the declined to R&R a hose or spark plug.
I think thats piss poor customer service, I I would not recommend any to have them repair. They are more interested in selling you something new.

I just wanted to say how pleased I was with the employees at Elk Grove Power Equipment. I stopped in to have my lawnmower checked out for possible warranty service. An employee did a quick diagnostic and got my lawnmower started quickly. He offered advice on how to maintain the fuel to prevent future issues and provided me with a free sample of fuel stabilizer. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. I was was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I will definitely be back for any future issues with my lawn/yard care equipment. Thanks!!

They try hard to service your small engine tools. They have been working on my lawn tools for a few years and when I had a business doing remodels the did tune ups for me on those tools also. The prices for labor is fair. The rebuilds are good. Only thing is I wish they had a larger store so that they would have parts in stock. Their turn around time is pretty slow.

So needed to till my lawn of weeds. Home depot power inn is so far and this is a much closer option. They have a large selection of items for rent and attentive customer service.
I had a 1000 sq ft in my backyard and maybe 1500 sq ft in my front yard. Both freshly mowed weeds after the season of April showers. I rented a maxim extra heavy rototiller. My husband and I aren't the most experienced gardeners but I found it very difficult and time consuming too use. We ended up only doing the backyard and we rented for the full day. I only managed a couple feet of tilling and I was tired. Luckily

This is a great shop. From the owner to the sales people to the service crew. They will patiently take time with you to help you find the right piece of equipment for your needs. They neither oversell nor try to scoot you out the door. Even though I have moved from Elk Grove, I still make the 30 mile drive when I need help with mowers or yard equipment. Kind of hard to find the first time you seek them out but well worth it.
