Dr. Sands is the first podiatrist I have ever seen who gave me more than one option for treating my chronic plantar fasciitis. I do appreciate that there are choices for me other than doctors telling me to do things that did not really help. He also gave me a sock to stretch my foot and calf to wear overnight. How simple that was. It did make a difference in the first day after I wore it. I will continue my treatment with Dr. Sands and recommend him highly.

I went to Dr. Sands a few months ago for a wound in my foot that I presumed was a splinter that was bothering me for months. I went to two different urgent cares before going to him, who both attempted to remove the foreign object that was bothering me. However, both attempts were unsuccessful and the pain reemerged when walking. After going to Dr. Sands, he was able to go deeper into my wound bed and successfully remove the agent. Prior to Dr Sands, I would often get a sharp pain in the top of my foot that hurt to walk and caused me to alter the way that I was walking. I work as a nurse so this

Had an emergency podiatrist appointment with another podiatrist who recommended Dr. Sands. I was able to make an appointment with him through ZocDoc even though it was a holiday weekend. Saw him first thing Tuesday morning and he was excellent. Explained my condition and recommended practices that would help. I will definitely keep Dr Sands as my regular podiatrist for diabetic foot care.

It started with Teresa at the front desk. Very friendly a nice way to be greeted when going to doctors office. Dr. Sands Took his time to answer my many questions was not rushed and gave me answers that would really understand more for me. Gave me food for thought about different options. I would recommend him to anyone else.

Dr. Sands is an exemplary doctor. He is very professional and personable. He has helped me with an extremely painful condition which he originally diagnosed immediately. He takes you on time, no sitting in a waiting room for more than moments. You can easily book online if it is after office hours. I highly recommend Dr. Sands.

Dr Sands has been treating my foot injuries for the past 5 years. Unfortunately I am very clumsy and have hurt both my feet several times. No matter what the issue, Dr. Sands always knows what to do and how to best treat my injury. He is the best MD I know. He has the best bedside manner and always makes me feel like everything will be okay, even when I am crying in his office because of the pain. Words can not express my gratitude enough. I would recommend him to all.

I was not happy with my visit to Dr. Sands' office. First, I made an appointment through his own website, even received confirmations and second confirmations via email and text messages. However, when I went to his office at my appointment time, they had no record of the appointment! His secretary and even he made me feel like this was my mistake. During the appointment (he saw me anyway) he barely even examined my feet. Instead, he took one quick look and emailed me an article on a foot ailment caused by not having proper arch support. He did tell me I had a corn, which I suspected anyway

Dr. Sands is an outstanding Podiatrist. He is professional, courteous, a gentleman and extremely interested in the health of his patients. David is most accommodating and doesn't make patients wait a long time to be seen. His office staff is equally as polite and welcoming and they all run a 5 Star practice. I went in to do a hammer toe procedure on 4 toes. No wait time on any visit. My original consultation and x-rays were done fast and efficient on premise. Everything explained. All my concerns were addressed and he sends you information regarding things you should know about the surgery on an E-portal if you choose to set it up(21st century doc). He has a great personality as well and makes u feel very comfortable.

Fantastic Doctor, he is terrific. I had taken my 89 year old dad to a different Dr that suggested my dad see a podiatrist. Not only did Dr Sands take my dad right away he was so thoughtful and caring and really treated him with TLC. He does not believe in unnecessary meds or treatments. He was spot on with everything he did and didn't do for my dad. I think this is the greatest podiatrist on Long Island
