Vinny's Deli & Pasta

We get freshly sliced soppressata and sharp provolone--- soooo good! They are always friendly and service is quick!

To call this is a "deli" is a polite mistake - this is an experience not to be missed. We were in town looking at houses to buy and hit the jackpot with lunch and a great converstaion with Vinny himself who not only us made feel like family - he fed us like family. If the order taker asks roll or wedge - act like you know and go with the wedge - you won't go wrong. Had the steak margarita special and eggplant parm - both were superb. Vinny and the deli are amazing! Everything is fresh, beautifully prepared and delicious. Vinny also caters ‘Mozzarella Parties’. He came to our home with a fantastic array of antipasto, sandwiches and a variety of homemade mozzarellas. He gave a hands-on mozzarella class and all of our guests took home their efforts. Everyone loved it. Vinny is a terrific guy and great to work with. I absolutely recommend the deli, the catering and getting to know Vinny!

We drive from Connecticut just to get the great pasta, fresh mozzarella , the best olive oil, amazing sandwiches, gluten free wraps and regular and gluten free meatballs, and the best mortadella around!
finally someone who knows how to slice that so thin you can see through it!
Vinny is super nice and there are so many interesting things to find in the store.
I even found gluten-free lasagna noodles, great polenta and great arborio rice !

I live in Pawling and Vinny's is a staple place. We get sandwiches there and sometimes fresh mozzarella for making pizza at home.

We stayed in Pawling at the Station Inn (excellent hotel/Airbnb mashup) for the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock. Found Vinny's around the corner from Station Inn. We're from Jersey. We know Italian delicatessens. Vinny's beats most all of what we thought were our favorites. His sandwiches are original and made with quality ingredients, many prepared in house. Try the #2, a grilled mutz, tomato, and basil on garlic panini. My wife's new favorite breakfast sandwich (available anytime), or the Raging Bull, or one of his Margherita sandwiches. Aside from the well known deli options and the famous (and delicious!) sandwich, there's catering. Generous portions, attention to detail, and food that the whole party praised. Thank you, Vinny!

Love the mozzarella! Amazing. Made fresh and it tastes sensational. Worth a trip to Pawling to try this cheese!

Vinny's can't be beat. A Pawling landmark, great sandwiches, fresh mozzarella, and all the staples you need to put together an awesome picnic basket or dinner at home.

This deli is your typical Italian deli. I mean that in a good way. If you need a quick lunch or cold cuts or salads, I highly recommend this delicatessen.
Working a construction project in town, we frequented this location many times.
The sandwiches were great, fresh, tasty. They did not overwhelm you with 2 lb of meat lol. The prices are average. The staff is very friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this location. Enjoy!

They use wedge bread from the freezer. And pre slice cold cuts. It's like a fancy Subway Nothing fresh about this place.

Obviously their fresh mozzarella made daily is a must but we've tried several of their sandwiches, cheeses, bread, to-go meals, etc... and one thing is just as fresh and delicious as the next.

As an Italian who grew up going to Arthur Avenue, I really appreciate the authenticity Vinny's deli brings to the area. There's no comparison within miles & miles.
They've got some awesome sandwiches, that are always too big to finish and ends up being two meals which is great.

I had to come! I have purchased their marinara sauce at Ace Endico. I aware their sauce is superior to Raios . I have heard how amazing their homemade mozzarella was, just the right amount of salt. ... I ordered their signature sandwich, meatballs, chicken with vodka sauce, chicken Marsala, eggplant rolls. I wanted my family to have a Smorgasbord of wonderful Italian treats. Well I loved the vodka and marinara sauces!!! Hated the Marsala, meatballs way to much breadcrumbs, chicken fair and eggplant fair. I would only go for the sauces. The rest I was extremely disappointed..

Food quality is good, but I think the people who prepare their sandwiches are specially prepped to put the smallest amount of food that can possibly be put on the smaller than average sub rolls they use. Even the mayo I asked for was imperceptible. I had to supplement the sandwich with other cold cuts that I had purchased (which cost me $30). I keep trying to like this place but they keep on giving as little as possible for as high as they can charge.

This is a nice italian deli with a little market inside. I have had a few different sandwiches and always enjoyed their fresh mozzarella. But the last visit, I ordered a chicken cutlet on a wedge - thinking I was going to get a nice crispy cutlet with a little oil oozing in the bread -- and i received chicken tenders on a wedge. Slightly disappointing coming from an Italian deli! I also once purchased meatballs and sauce and they were the pre-made frozen ones from like bj's or something. A little disappointed.

Vinnie's a great place. Terrific food and great people. Stop in next time you're in Pawling!

Steak and margarita
That's all I gotta say. It lives to the hype. I'm full with half a sandwich not going to lie.

But it's so fresh and delicious that I just keep digging into it.

They have a variety of other foods that I have to come back and try. Unfortunately once I have that thing I like off the menu, I usually stick to it.
But had some cookies there and really good. I like how they have a lot of imported goods as well.

And vinny is so nice and always greets his customers when he's there

What can I say? Rolled into Pawling tired and hungry after cycling for most of the day. Wasn't expecting much since the area is so sparsely populated. Spotted Vinny's and decided to give it a shot. Really impressed with the variety of food they had - beef soup and barley was amazing and filling for a steal! Vinny himself is super nice. Definitely pay this place a visit if you're after some excellent wholesome food and friendly service.

I've been coming to Vinnys for over a decade and can confidently say ive eaten here over 30 times. Ive had almost every sandwich on the menu, theres no wrong choice!

The homemade meals and all the deli items in the window are also excellent. Vinny and his family are so passionate about the quality of their food and the customer experience, it's unheard of.

I highly recommend this deli, Vinny is an angel himself!

Stopped in Vinny's today...for lunch...had the Prosciutto Royale..real prosiutto.. wedge bread was excellent..fresh mozzarella..peppers...excellent.. also walked out with Vinny's homemade mozzarella, eggplant rolatini, some antipasto, two jars of Vinny's Daryl's House sauce.. if you are local.. or want to take a ride..mine was 35 minutes.. this is the place to come and be treated by Vinny and everone there as family..

Try an Aspen sandwich. AMAZING!! Bought their homemade cooked mini meatballs too. Making Italian wedding soup and they are such a big help!!
