At Eastlake Vision Center Optometry, we specialize in understanding how the human eye really works. Our focus is on eye diseases and especially conditions which can ultimately affect your vision. Since many of these conditions do not always have obvious symptoms we must use our honed skills and experience to weigh the levels of age and other risk factors which can affect vision over time.
Because we provide both medical and routine eye care, we accept a number of insurance plans to help cover the cost depending on your individual needs. Our eye care centers in Chula Vista offer a full range of eye health services to clients of all ages, from children to older adults: routine eye exams and vision tests, eye disease diagnosis and management. They were great prior to covid, now they are overly complicated with picking up glasses. They never return voicemails/calls. They give you eta of 2 weeks on glasses and once the two weeks are up and you call you can never reach them. I've left several messages and have yet to get back to me. Simply waiting to get glasses I paid for and will be taking my services elsewhere.

Absolutely recommend doing your business here, we're talking about your vision you cannot settle for just anyone when it comes to your eyes. Nice atmosphere very clean location and I had a wonderful experience all thanks to the staff being very knowledgeable toward my needs. Did I mention the inventory of brand name frames with so many different styles to choose from there's no way you'll fail if you did your business here you know that saying "look good feel good do good"

Eastlake Vision Center Optometry is the best vision center I've yet to visit. They go to great lengths to protect their staff and the customer in these uncertain times. The staff is incredibly nice, helpful, and patient. The exam itself was smooth and fast with no waiting. It's also worth noting that their frame selection is not bad at all.
I've needed glasses for a long time now and this is without doubt the best vision center I've ever attended.

Dr. M is amazing. He's funny, he's charismatic and he's REALLY good at what he does.
In my first time visit right at the turn of this post covid reopening, his staff has made every opportunity to make the reopening process considerate and thoughtful to the safety of all.
Now, back to Dr. M. His desire to give an accurate look at where someone's vision is at and knowing what to look for was nothing short of pretty amazing.
His humor is also a great ice breaker to get through a relatively mundane process.

I would give a 4.5 rating if possible because I wish they had a greater selection of eyeglass frames by Oakley. That being said I did purchase a new set of Oakley frames and lenses. My whole experience at Eastlake Vision Center was very good and Dr Mascareno was personable and professional. After many years of going to Lendcrafters I have made the permanent switch to Eastlake Vision Center.

First time customer and definitely the last. The doctor was great and very knowledgeable. Now the customer service I received from the front desk was terrible! VERY RUDE from the moment I called to make an appointment to the moment I walked out. After being hit with all the fees Elena (front desk) apparently missed the fact that I was fitted for contacts after paying and literally made me take off the contacts in front of her. Who does that? I felt pretty uncomfortable and seemed so UNPROFESSIONAL. Not to mention I had to drive home without any contacts despite them knowing how bad my vision was

WOW. 5 stars!!!!!!!! If I could give it 6 I would!!!! I just recently moved to this area and was looking for a new place to buy new glasses and ran into this gem of a place. When I walked in I immediately felt soooooo comfortable. The receptionist Isabel greeted me with a smile and honestly as a manager, it's rare to see this. She went over all of the pricing thoroughly and they have the best selection! Will be coming back real soon to book an appt after my eye exam. I chose this place based off reviews. I called to see if they take my insurance , lady said yes and I scheduled the appointment. I show up to my appointment and the exam went well, Doctor was professional. After my exam I get a fee that was more than if I didn't have an insurance, which made no sense but what can you do right. I get my prescription and decide to buy elsewhere later on because it was cheaper. My husband and I have been customers here since 2013 and always received a great customer service... we recently moved to another area but we did not hesitate to do our check ups here and drive a few miles because we know we would have a good visit. Dr Mascareño is the best and he speaks Spanish which is a plus for me! Definitely a good optometrist office if you need a recommendation.

Let me start this off by saying that if I could give this place zero stars I would. My wife and I went to LensCrafters to have our exams done and we found out they are not an in-network provider for VSP, so we looked at providers and found this place. We brought our RX in with us along with all the info we needed to order the glasses we wanted. The lady that was working the desk took down all the necessary info to order the frames which would take about two weeks. The next day I got a call from the lady who actually does the ordering. I booked my teenage daughter for her annual eye glass/contact vision exam, which she was a first time patient. Upon arrival, I was very impressed. The facility was clean & well organized. I brought my daughter here for a second opinion and I'm so happy that we did! The doctor is amazing with children and also took the time to discuss and explain to me my daughter's vision needs. We were originally told that she'd need to patch her eye and not come back for a year for a follow up. Here at Eastlake Vision, the doctor had us come back in a month and after her follow up exam she no longer needed the patch. Great service! I walked in thinking of looking at their eye glass frames after reading through yelp reviews. They treated each customer individually & when it was my turn, they provided me with useful information to pick the right options for me. I didn't feel pressured to pick the more expensive lenses & it took less than an hour to get my measurements although I already walked in with my optometrists lens prescription. I will be getting my first glasses in 2 weeks! I'm giving them 4 stars until I actually see the final product.

I ran out of contact lenses a while back and I needed to be seen to get new ones. Unfortunately for me, the optometrist I had seen previously didn't have an opening for two months! That's when I started looking around the area and have Eastlake Vision Center a call. They lady that answered the phone asked when I would like to come in and I told her as soon as possible. Doctors are excellent. Staff is completely useless. Had my eye appointment done, no problem. Staff was horrible at communicating my health insurance coverage. Definitely not clear or concise. Left my frame so they could put on new lenses, and was never contacted or texted when they were done and ready for pick-up. When I finally went to retrieve them, there was no one present to fit them. I asked if there would be someone some time soon that would be able to fit them for me, they said "no, not till tomorrow". After making my way down all the way from mission valley there was no one to fit them

This was my 1st visit to this Optometrist and it's now my favorite. The Dr. was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. He noticed that there was a discrepancy on the previous RX for my contact's from another office and that was the main reason I had problems with my old contacts. The staff was great, specially Jacquie she helped me choose my glasses in addition to helping me coordinate my benefits for both of my vision plans to get the best deal.
