Dentistry By Design is pleased to introduce Dr. Larry Wheeler to our friends/patients at our Saddlebrooke office. Dr. Wheeler is a lifelong member of the Tucson community, having graduated from Tucson High School and the University of Arizona. Dr. Wheeler continued his education and graduated from the University of Pacific's prestigious School of Dentistry.
This can be anything done to correct imperfections in the appearance of the mouth. Anyone who is unhappy with their smile can have it fixed. The upper teeth show, usually, only when smiling, while the lower teeth remain hidden. This is reversed when talking, with the upper teeth remaining hidden while the lower teeth show.
Crowns are full coverage restorations that are used to cover a tooth that is likely to break, or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. They are most commonly done after root canal treatment, or when a large filling wears out. The larger the hole made by a cavity that has to be treated, the more likely a crown will be needed.
Q: Which type of toothbrush should I use? A: The brand of the toothbrush is not as critical as the type of bristle and the size of the head. A soft toothbrush with a small head is recommended because medium and hard brushes tend to cause irritation and contribute to recession of the gums, and a small head allows you to get around each tooth more completely and is less likely to injure your gums.

Went in to see how much 2 caps would cost. Was told, (without having x-rays taken), that I had 3 cavities, needed 3 caps and that to make the caps match, I would have to go through a 2-week teeth whitening procedure. This was a shock because I had JUST been to two other dentists who said nothing about cavities (one dentist had taken x-rays), no need for teeth whitening because my teeth were healthy, clean and bright. (They could have 'shaded' the caps if that had been needed and that would NEVER even suggest to whiten the entire mouth over 'shading the caps'). Oh, and the
