Nice roads but a lot of campers side by side. But very neat. To crowded for me and my husband.

My friend lives here, on the tar river. Fishing, boating. Playground for young children. Can stay permanent. Reasonable rent. Annually pay your rent for long term. Utilities monthly. Can have deck, storage building, multiple vehicles. Boat and trailer storage while you stay. Clean park, paved roads, no rif-raff or
trouble makers. Top 10 in my opinion in US.

Here's my back story I've been a resident here for almost 2 years fell into hard times due to covid this campground is mainly permanent which is fine but we have at least 170 lots of full time ppl here that have to use 4 washers and dryers when you go to the office they tell you ohh we are working on a new laundry mat now if you ride around this place you can definitely tell there is no room for a laundry mat I wouldn't be so upset if they would actually be telling the truth instead of building one they just rise the prices of staying here more and more it is aggravating bc I've talked to others

Beautiful, friendly and welcoming area. Everyone knows each other, gives privacy as well as community. We kayak and boat here with a friend and always leave smiling.

The Manager was very courtesy and understanding. My wife and I rented a cabin but had to cancel and she took care and refunded us the full amount.

We love it here. It is close to home. Having a popup we are able to camp right on the river with the cabins. Waking up to it is awesome

This place is a cute community, but its not for visitors. Most of the people live here; there are only 4 cabins for rent. You maybe get 200 square feet of living space. Don't believe it sleeps 2 because there's a double bed. There's barely enough space for one human. The web site says to bring your own kitchenware, but there's no kitchen. Just a microwave and a college fridge. And make your bed early if you pay $10 for sheets (yes, they charge for sheets). We went downtown for dinner, came back to make the bed, and found out they gave us twin sheets. And the office is closed, so lucky we had a

Beautiful, well-kept community. Mostly permanent residents. Many long-term RVs. Most are well kept mobile homes. Even a few tiny houses. But is very quiet and inviting. Awesome looking playground even has a play area for toddlers. Bath house is sufficient. For women's, use shower on the left for better pressure. Pool is large but was covered and closed when we were there. Pier and boat dock. Would def come back.

To sum up our 3 stars, it's based on our recent 1 night stay there. It's a beautiful drive to the campground thru green rolling hills out to the countryside. It's a large property split between RVs & permanent mobile home/RV sites. You can see -all- trees were originally cleared out and then some new (younger) trees were planted here & there (esp near the stationery sites).
Tarhill Creek (the name according to the kids fishing on the dock) borders one side but no bank to reach it; just a small dock.
The RV side are all open grass sites. The hookups with site # is the only way to tell each of
