Originated at the famous Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans in 1930, it is named after the French term "old square" which refers to the French Quarter. The Sazerac was born in the mid-1850s, when New Orleans barmen used cognac and New Orleans' own Peychaud's Bitters to make the classic Old Fashioned Cocktail.
From small groups to lavish soires, Bizou Brasserie and Le Mridien Tampa provide the ultimate luxury meeting and event space for your Tampa events. Our majestic building, which once served as the federal courthouse, provides a historic backdrop that is artfully blended with modern function spaces that serve as the perfect location for your next meeting or event.

My family just had an amazing experience with Bizou Brasserie. We hosted my wife's birthday and the event planner, Heather DiGiulio, went above and beyond. They customized the menu, set up private space for us, and made sure all our requests were met with a smile. The space is so unique and breathtaking. The food was amazing. Thank you for making a memorable moment for us.

As far as hotel experiences go, and this is a great one. We came here for breakfast. They had great music. The whole building was the old courthouse so the marble is amazing. The breakfast was good the servers were excellent Michelle greeted us and seated us and made us excellent coffee and Melissa served us a wonderful and very fast service with a friendly, warm attitude.. not a lot of vegan/vegetarian options, no steel cut oats. But it decent espresso for a hotel. The service is what made it even better.

Ok most hotel bars are blahzey at best… this one was..different! In a really good way. Climbing the stairs from the lobby you could first feel the energy change, then smell the food, then hear the atmosphere, and by the time you reach the 2nd floor you know you’ve arrived at a unique and cool spot! Custom drinks, chill atmosphere, and it just kinda hits different. Downtown has some secret gems and this is definitely one of them!

I'll start with what we were not pleased with. We made reservations for new years after looking over the menu to ensure they would have something to accommodate my dietary restrictions. The menu listed two items. However, when we arrived there was a special New Years menu which did not contain anything I could eat. Luckily the chef was able to make some accommodations and I could have three of the four courses. The food was delicious but I wouldn't say it was worth the nearly $400 we paid for two people. Came to try out this breakfast restaurant inside the Le Meredian hotel. It was surprisingly very good, the prices were on point and inexpensive unlike most hotel restaurants that are overpriced.
Had the crab and avocado egg benedict that came with a side of fruit, also ordered the traditional ham and egg, potatoes breakfast dish. And top it off with some coffee, yummy 😋!
The ambience of the restaurant reminds me of the old classic Italian restaurant with the dark mahogany colored furniture.

The worst food. Entire order was wrong. We were given supposedly the wrong menu and then they gave us some thing that was on a different menu. And then got upset with us when we asked for it to be taken back because it wasn't what we ordered. It was trash. On top of all that it's way overpriced. Absolute horrible service. Just trust me on this one I go somewhere else.

This was the restaurant to chose to eat at on Christmas Day. It was a buffet of crab and macaroni that was so dry and not a piece of crab. The mashed potatoes were cold and you had to asked them to replace them. Vegetables were Brussel sprouts with carrots and onions, meat was ham and filet mignon that was very dry. Desert and bread was uncovered and sitting out. Staff was not friendly or attenable. The cost $65.00! I would never had gone to a buffet during COVID 19, and, to make matters worse the food was an afterthought and bad!

I am a photographer and was in town for a business trip, I stayed at Le Méridien during my stay. I came to the… bar and had the Ybor open “burger” and (3) Very Berry Mojito cocktails - EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT.
I am literally in love with this place and need one back in my home town - I using the bartenders and chef! The atmosphere is super chic and laid back, not to mention the elegant art of décor. Pictures don’t do this place justice!

First time here. They overcooked my New York Strip but graciously replaced it. Attentive and helpful. My partner had the chicken Florentine, which was very tasty. The Parmesan fries were delightful and selection of wines were reasonably priced.
We also stayed the night at La Meridien, the Marriott hotel that houses this restaurant on its second floor. All staff were friendly and polite.

I post with with the understanding this is post-COVID. Place was almost empty when I arrived. I'm staying at the hotel and didn't feel like leaving the building. Sole employee working the dining area seemed not to see me for five minutes. She seated me and I noticed tables left uncleaned from prior guests. Two other tables were seated.
I got water and asked about the draft beers. She didn't seem to know the names and just said a brewer and IPA or other general classification. Noticed everyone else (before and after I was seated) got bread promptly, before any drink orders

This is our second time to this fabulous boutique hotel convert from a federal courthouse. It has a fabulous… French restaurant I had the most amazing rack of lamb. A great bottle of wine. we simply just really enjoyed the day together it was a lot of fun had a chance to meet the chef and also ran into an old friend I haven’t seen in a while Michael Adamo .

My fiancé and I went last night and we can’t stop talking about it. I’m recommending it to anyone that will… listen ☺️ the drinks and food were amazing. The bartenders were super friendly and welcoming. Overall we had a wonderful experience and I’m already planning our next date night there 😂 Whatever you do, definitely get the maple bacon old fashion. We both loved it so much it may just become a staple at our house, and my fiancé even asked if that could be his signature drink for our wedding 🥃

Since we were staying at Le Meridien, we figured we should eat in-house at Bizou Brasserie at least once before we left. We ordered a smorgasbord of food! We certainly had high expectations, but must say our brunch experience was quite underwhelming.
Overall, the food was decent, but nothing to write home about. The Sautéed Spinach and Mushroom Eggs Benedict was alright. To be fair, it was modified to have the eggs scrambled instead of poached, and without hollandaise (see pic). We had another excellent lunch at Bizou - this time it was the Classic Burger. The Bizou burger is too rich for my taste, but the smoked apricot whiskey jam that comes with it is outstanding; thus, when I need a burger fix, I get the Classic with a side of the jam. It is the perfect bite - hitting all the senses. The picture says it all...

A large group of us trickled in for Happy Hour on Wednesday, October 3rd (we're looking at you, Aaron Samuels) to sit together (we were all wearing PINK) and have some snacks pre- Mean Girls at the Tampa Theatre.

The cheese board my friends ordered was meh, lots of cheese but could've been made from the grocery store.
