The customer service is excellent (Nicole is amazing) and the selection is wonderful.
The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful with all of my jewelry selections.

I went into Higashi today just to browse and ask a question regarding a Reactor watch I previously purchased there. Nancy was able to answer my questions. I ended up finding a gift for my 8 year old daughter. It was such a pleasant surprise to see that there are fun gifts for an 8 year old little girl. Nancy helped me pick out a bracelet and charms. Nancy is the best!

We love Higashi and buy almost all of our jewelry there. The staff is always very helpful with great suggestions. Recently had a warranty issue with my engagement ring, Warren and Susan handled the rebuilding of my ring and kept me informed through the entire process. I just got my ring back today and I am beyond pleased with the results. If you have never been there, you have to check it out!!!

I picked up a beautiful necklace and earrings today that I had on lay-a-way. How many stores still have lay-a-way anymore?? I love that! This purchase was a result of my first shopping experience at Higashi. What a fun experience! The staff is very knowledgeable about the jewelry, very honest when asked for their opinion, so patient, and simply made shopping there a joy! They treat their customers all with respect and kindness, whether you’re spending 20.00 or 2,000.00 dollars. Shopping is not always about the “gems” in the case.

This wasn't the location where I expected to find one of the best jewelry stores I've seen. They had items I've only seen in European stores. They had a great selection that matched all price ranges and matched tastes for both my wife and my daughter. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

I just love this place. As soon as I walk in Susan and Nicole greet me like we are old friends. My niece was getting married and I wanted to have her add-an-inch pearls from her childhood combined with her late sister's pearls so she would have a piece of her sister with her on her wedding day. Nicole and Susan spent nearly 2 hours helping me design the perfect bracelet. It made her wedding day that much sweeter and I'll be forever grateful (and loyal) to Higashi for the beautiful bracelet they helped me design 😚😚😚

After hearing about this shop on NPR all these years, I finally wandered in. It was like the switch in Wizard of Oz where b&w becomes color. Exquisite artful selections, wide price range.
Bought my new favorite necklace and coming back soon for frames.

What an INCREDIBLE store! I could spend hours looking around at all the wonderful things - from jewelry and watches, to the latest glasses frames. Susan and her staff are friendly, professional and helpful, while the prices are very reasonable. If you haven't been to Higashi yet, I would highly recommend you visit soon - you won't be disappointed!

This place has really fun and unique eyeglass frames...they’re higher end but really good quality so I expect the glasses to last. I love their jewelry. Plenty of pretty, sparkly stuff I can’t afford but they have a really nice selection and there’s something for every budget. Great, local place for special occasion gifts (holiday, birthday). I can always find really cute charms for my daughter there.

Favorite jewelry store in the area! Absolutely love Susan and her wonderful staff, not to mention the beautiful and unique jewelry they carry at Higashi! The girls who work there are always excited to help me find just what I am looking for. I have yet to find another jewelry store in the area where the owner will travel out of the country to hand pick items just for her customers! Excited to go back soon!

Love shopping here! Great selection of unusual pieces and great staff assistance. Have shopped there many times and always find amazing gifts and pieces to add to my own collection.

Only a 3.2?? I beg to differ! I was in Higashi today -- the jewelry and eyewear selection is EXQUISITE - can be a bit expensive, but really, you can find something for almost every budget and taste. BEAUTIFUL stuff!! Nice trendy pieces, great classic pieces. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back :)

After-sale customer service is poor. I purchased a watch which ended tarnishing. I was told it was wear. I pointed out the difference between wear and tear vs tarnish. The lady did not care and did not offer a solution.

I love shopping at higashi! There are always so many great choices at different price ranges that I can give as beautiful gifts to a friend or a treat for myself. And Susan, the owner, and all of the wonderful women who work there are very patient and knowledgeable in helping me decide on what to buy. Higashi makes me feel very welcomed if even just window shopping. You should visit Higashi if interested in looking at beautiful jewelry, gifts or just want to meet warm and fun people!

They have nice stuff but they will not get another dime of my money. I've been in several times. There is one nice lady that works there and she helped me with a purchase last week. I returned today to buy a gift for my daughter and of the 3 people working there not a soul acknowledged me. That's ok! I can buy Alex and Ani somewhere else. I KNOW the sales people saw me!!!!! The racial divide in this area is awful and I can't wait to get out of this awful area. They saw a black face and decided not to say a word. However they spoke to the white customers that walked in. Higashi Pearls and Jewelry is one of my favorite places to go. Me and my husband have purchased many things there include watches, gifts, earrings, and lately I had my new glasses done by them (which by the way... I love). I have always gotten wonderful service. The sales people have let me (us) look around or if we need or want assistance they are available. I don't understand the really bad review.... perhaps they were speaking of somewhere else.

Higashi is an unexpected find in an offbeat setting--right upstairs from a really cool farmer's market. They carry the latest in high-end designer fine jewelry as well as a large selection of very affordable pieces too. I use them for all my repair work. Trustworthy--wouldn't go anywhere else.

If you have read my other reviews then you know that I am extremely picky! If you haven't then let me say it again - I am super picky! (especially when it comes to jewelry!)

Unfortunately I lost my wedding ring. Saying that I was devastated would be an understatement. I was so upset and virtually in denial for almost a week. Finally my husband who was not very happy that I lost it wanted to cheer me up so he suggested that we start looking for another one.

We went to where he had originally purchased it and found nothing except a sales person who did not know how to do math or the price
