Screw all the people who wrote negative reviews. This place is awesome. Best bagels in all of New a Jersey and great deli. This has been a staple of my high school life and every time I come back, I get a bagel here. Great family owns the deli. Whenever I come in, lots of people in line or ordering. Come here for real Jersey bagels.

I went in yesterday for take out. The man making sandwiches Was not wearing a mask around his face it was around his neck. He said good morning to me and I said you should be wearing your mask and he says today's one thing tomorrow is another and he didn't put it on. The owner came out of the kitchen without a mask on. The girl who is helping me did have amask on and when I said something to her she laughed and said jokingly to the other ones, guys put your masks on. Will never go back there again. This is a pandemic and I didn't feel safe eating there. And I will also tell all

Hooked on the lunch specials. I have been a patron of Stien's for about 5 years now. The prices are on the higher end of normal for most things, especially breakfast. Lunch stuff not as bad. The lunch specials I am currently hooked on with a drink will come out to just over $10. which I conciser normal for lunch. Price aside, food taste and quality are also on the high end of normal/expected.
Its worth noting that in a 5 year span, I have no complaints.

I come here a couple times a week because my daughter doesn't eat pork, and this is the only place i can find with turkey bacon. Everything is always cold. Blank stares from employees. Never once got my order correct when i call in, even though it is written down correctly. Bagels are basically just bread. high price, low quality food. Never a smile behind the counter.

I'll give them 3.5 stars. I have had both breakfast and lunch here. More a fan of their sandwiches than their bagels. They have a very large menu board with sandwiches, salads, paninni's, grill items and much more. I find it a little overwhelming but they make a decent sandwich. The price is a little on the higher side but in line with the rest of the delis in the area. The sandwiches are large in size and very filling. They also have some hot prepared items, along with some desert options. Service seems slow side when crowded despite the fact they seem to have enough employees.

This place has gone down the pooper. Don't know whether or not its due to the fact no one of authority (owner/manager) is ever present, but the staff is careless, slow, complacent. Just today, my wife went to pick up egg sandwiches on bagels, and we found they gave us sandwiches without eggs and hardly cooked taylor ham (still very pink).
We have been going to Steins on the weekends for years now, and lately all we notice is the steady decline. They are comparatively more pricey to other shops, and in the past the service and quality of food made up for it. Now it has become somewhere
