When the property owners were going to sell the West Hartford Ornamental Iron Shop to an orthodontist, many community members showed concern about losing a historic part of the district. It was in the year 2000 when the property was bought and re-established by second generation wrought iron workers under the name Wrought Iron Works, preserving the historical site and building.

I cannot say enough about Romer and his jewel of a business!!!!
Truly outstanding customer service and flawless craftsmanship!!!
After recently renovating our home we noted our old bannister stuck out like a
sore thumb!!! We realized we didn’t plan for a new bannister. It was November 4th
that we decided to stop by Wrought Iron works. This is a location we drive by on a daily bases and it was our first time visiting. When we met with Romer he stopped what he was doing and gave us his complete attention!!

I highly recommend Wrought Iron Works. They completed the restoration of a large and historic wrought iron pergola in our town’s public park. They went the extra mile to ensure the project was completed to our satisfaction. They were excellent to work with, highly skilled/talented, provided a reasonable and sound estimate, and completed the project within our budget with no surprises. During the past year I have had three different occasions to do business with WROUGHT IRON WORKS. All three times involved small, sinlge weld spot repairs. The size of the job did not matter to the guys in the shop. I was treated like a valuable customer. I dealt with Romer in the front office. He could not have been nicer. The work was done quickly and the job was competed even sooner then the time promised. The cost was very reasobale; less than I expected. This place is a real treasure for West Hartford. I feel so lucky to have them so close by.

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience with Romer and team at Wrought Iron Works. We worked with them to create custom XL flower boxes for our new home and they turned out beautiful! The team was thoughtful and thorough to ensure we got exactly what we wanted, the end product is perfect, was affordable, and the turn around was speedy (just a few weeks!). I contacted 4 businesses regarding some work we needed done on our railings and Wrought Iron Works is the only one that bothered to get back to me. They were very responsive and were able to come and give me an estimate quickly. We had our railing work done this week. The crew was very pleasant and did a beautiful job.

I wanted something truly unique for railings at home & I contacted Wrought Iron Works & I couldn't be happier that I did! They designed & installed the most amazing railings that are designed after trees. (I will upload pictures later) They are not only beautiful, the price for the custom work was on point & very reasonable, they were reliable, and the railing installation is impeccable.
The railings themselves are sturdy & unmovable - the beauty/design did not compromise the functionality & they are by far sturdier than ANYTHING "out of the box" we could have put in.
