Aika is an amazing photographer. She is not only very talented, but makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. We have done many family sessions (loved the results of EVERY one), and I recently had the opportunity to do a photoshoot -- just ME. So glamorous. I didn't even know I could look like that.
Pregnancy is so beautiful, the glow in your skin and the joy in your smile, the way everyone in your life looks at you in that special way. A maternity portrait session is the perfect way to capture all of the wonder and preserve it forever. It is ideally scheduled between 30-36 weeks of pregnancy, but can be scheduled all the way up until your due date, but don't wait too long because your baby might come out early!
The sweetest and most precious time to photograph a newborn is during the first five to ten days of life. During this time babies will usually retain some of the natural curl from when they were in mommy's belly. Newborn babies are also more sleepy and pliable for the most desired poses. Your curling, sleeping newborn will make for the most memorable and meaningful photographs.
Your daughter dancing with her dad. Your son running into your arms. Your family walking on the beach holding hands. These are the fleeting, joyful moments that won't last forever, and I believe they should be captured in a beautiful way. My family sessions are custom-designed with your family's personality and interests in mind, and can take place at studio and any location that's special to you.
I absolutely love creating the headshots that help boost the careers of future rising stars! As the mother of two kids model, I truly understand how important it is to have a quality headshot when pursuing work in the modeling industry. My goal is to connect individually with each model and draw out the beauty and inner spark that I perceive in each of them.

Aika was extremely professional, personable, funny, enthusiastic, and such a outright joy to work with. I needed to hire a photographer to take professional head shots for a talent agency, and right away I knew Aika was is the individual for the job. And I’m so glad I made that decision. From the onset, she consults with you to make sure your outfit matches the ambience and look that you need. She’s very intuitive and you could tell she has a passion for her work. I was in a rush to get a couple of professional headshots done. I googled a couple of places and came across Aika Cardin Photography. I decided to give it a try. When first contacted Aika, she was extremely responsive and helped me get set up fast, considering my time crunch. Her studio has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. She was courteous and professional. We just recently had a photo shout with Aika for my daughter Zoe who is starting with her acting and modeling. Aika was so amazing with zoe made her feel at ease, usually zoe would be shy and not want to do it. She was so comfortable with Aika made it look so easy. We went to different locations all picked by Aika and they were all beautiful such a beautiful day it was as well. It was such an amazing experience. Aika you’re good at you do and it shows the love you have for your gift. Thanks for a wonderful experience you shared with us.

Aika handled a professional modeling shoot for my son Andrew who has been signed with a talent agency. She was efficient, competent and friendly and immediately made him feel at ease. Working in extremely hot outdoor conditions she remained upbeat and friendly making his first shoot a memorable and fun experience. She also beautifully captured his martial arts kicking prowess on which he plans to build his action star career! I would highly recommend her! Thank you Aika for the beautiful photographs!

We had the pleasure of working with Aika for our annual family pictures/holiday card photoshoot. Despite the fact that this was our first time with her, immediately upon arriving at her lovely studio, the entire family was at ease with her kind, soft style. I wouldn't describe photo sessions with our two older boys as "enjoyable." But somehow, that's exactly what our session was.
