Coming from a family in the auto parts business, Kevin's desire to work on cars began at the early age of eight. He was allowed to hold the drop light for his father as he serviced the brakes on his family's 1968 Ford Country Squire Station Wagon. He would intently watch his dad and began fixing things himself.
He rebuilt his first carburetor at the age of 12. He purchased his first car at the age of 15 and began working and paying his way through college repairing cars out of a mini storage unit. A few years after he married, he received formal auto repair training and became a Ford Certified Technician as well as receiving ASE Certification.

Initially I had taken my car to a mechanic down the road from my house for a head gasket replacement. The owner of that shop acted like I was inconveniencing him asking for a quote, I left that shop with very little info and unhappy. After leaving I started to google and found specialized truck and auto and saw how many great reviews the shop had, I gave it a shot and I’m glad I did. Kevin took the time to give me a quote on a day he was actually closed but just catching up on some other work. I recently had a bunch of work done to my 2003 PT Cruiser at Specialized Truck and Auto! I has a Wish list for my car and EVERY repair was completed and for an amazing price!! These trustworthy folks have worked on my fleet of vehicles for years. From small items to complete engine change-out, they can handle it all. Once we decided on a good used engine. After it was installed these folks didn't like it and made the seller take it back! Then they found a much better one and that vehicle is still on the road today as if nothing every happened.

Specialized Truck & Auto is not in my neighborhood , but when I called to ask about installing a catalytic converter security shield, Kevin, the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was installed perfectly and his price was very fair. The receptionist Keeley and I became quick friends! She was very professional and made me feel very welcome in their family owned business.
