I am licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker board to provide psychotherapy and counseling. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers. In 1988, I received my Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University. With 30 years experience, I am a Senior clinician and have been in private practice for 26 years.
What is psychotherapy? Psychotherapy treatment is basically a conversation between an individual client or couple and me. In these conversations, I create a safe environment that allows my clients to tell their story over time. As the story unfolds my clients begin to better understand the interaction between them and the people involved in their work and life.
Even if you have insurance, more and more of my clients are choosing to self pay - to forego insurance and pay me directly, out of pocket. The reason they choose to do this is because they want to protect their privacy and confidentiality. If you pay me directly, without insurance, I do not need to give you a diagnosis.
