Because of this, our stem cell and PRP injection therapies are even more successful than most. We use PRP Platelet Rich Plasma Injections to improve tissue healing of joints, cartilage, ligaments and tendons.
PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections are have been proven successful in improving clinical outcomes and decreasing the re-tear rate in arthroscopic repair of rotator cuff tears. Despite these science, most ortho's are slow to mandate prp in their surgical protocol. For this reason, we supplement our post-op rehab protocols here at SMNW with a series of 1-3 ultrasound guided prp injections into and around the healing tissues.

I have had multiple sessions with LMT RH Shannon & will continue to go back to her for care. I have been to many massage therapists and several orthopedic MTs, but she is by far the best I've been to. I had a shoulder injury after being rear ended that I could not get worked out by others, and after a few sessions Shannon had me pain free! I have had very little trouble with that shoulder since. I also had a low back injury which nearly debilitated me. I did not live near SMN at the time, but traveled to see Shannon as I could. She always made the most of our sessions and was a major factor

I have been working with Dr. Pond for about 6 weeks now. During the course of my treatment, when the ice storm hit Seattle, I fell on the ice but wasn't too concerned about it. I was seeing Dr. Pond for chronic back issues, but mentioned that the fall started a clicking in my knee. He got me in immediately for an ultrasound with his nurse practitioner and we discovered I have a torn meniscus. If I hadn't been seeing him for my other issue, I would have never caught the tear this early since I wasn't experiencing pain. We started physical therapy immediately and my knee is improving

I've always been skeptical of chiropractors because of the lack of scientific evidence backing the legitimacy of their work, but I decided to try this place out for PRP and PT and possible massage for an old shoulder injury that's been acting up lately. The nurse who does the PRP is wonderful and I loved my appointment with her; she's extremely knowledgeable and personable. I'd be thrilled to work with her in the future. But during a very short and fairly unhelpful PT session with Skylar, he said some things about COVID that really made me scratch my head. He thinks that Florida

I’ve always had the best services with the staff here, from the front desk, to massages and injury treatment—Dr. Skylar Pond is the best in the business.
My most recent visit felt more like a magic trick than anything else. 8 weeks after a motorcycle crash, I was still suffering from ankle pain and limited mobility. I was certain I had a broken bone that wouldn’t heal. I went to urgent care, got images, and was told to “give it time.” I did, and it wasn’t getting any better.
So I decided to see Dr. Pond, who felt around in there, and was able to diagnose a minor bone displacement

I love this place. Skylar is great and really knows what he is doing. He takes the time needed to really connect with his patients. The clinic is booked out months for massage and acupuncture (still haven't had a chance to try either, but generally a wait indicates it's in high demand). He is located in the admiral district of West Seattle, a short walk from the Safeway on California.

I can't say enough amazing things about this place. Dr. Pond is seriously amazing and knows what he is talking about. I had been working with him for two months on a lower back injury that I was worried that couldn't be fixed. He took the time to really listen to my concerns and helped talk through any of my questions. He has so much knowledge when it comes to fitness and ways to protect me from injuries in the future. The staff is amazing as well! Again, I can't say enough great things about this place! I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a chiropractor!

Skyler is truly gifted. He takes his practice seriously and has an exceptional talent. He's extremely friendly and genuine. His office offers a wide variety of services. Originally I found his office because I was seeking graston, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. His rehabilitative approach and knowledge will keep you loyal to his office. And if for some reason you injure yourself, he will absolutely find time to see you. I cannot say enough about his talent. Thanks for getting me moving again!

I can't say enough great things about the staff at Sports Medicine Northwest, they squeezed me in as a brand new patient with a sudden injury the very next day during COVID of all times. Skylar provided great adjustments and better yet, gave me multiple exercises and stretches I could do at home to help my recovery process. I was also fortunate enough to see their amazing Massage Therapist, Shannon and have my first acupuncture session ever with Alicia. The entire staff is incredibly helpful and caring!

Skylar and Alicia are fantastic - they know what they are doing, have a great/very clean space and run things efficiently. I went in for a last-minute chiropractic appointment due to some lower back issues and Alicia made it work so that I was booked in the next day. I had two appointments that were just what I needed to get back in biz. Glad to have them in WS!

Skylar and Shannon have both helped me tremendously after a car accident. They are both thorough, skilled, and explain things well. They are patient and empathetic which is a plus. Recently I had a steroid injection into my shoulder. It was on a Friday, and a few hours following the injection, I was in extreme pain. I couldn't move my arm and I was desperate and in tears. I left work and called Dr. Pond who graciously saw me even though I didn't have an appointment, and they were near closing on a Friday evening. He helped my shoulder and even gave me a topical CBD to take home to help

Dr. Pond has been treating my chest/shoulder injury for a few months now and I'm really happy with the level of care I receive. Before I came here, I tried one-offs of independent providers of PT, massage therapy, and chiropractic care but it wasn't working because it wasn't integrated. This approach makes so much more sense! Thanks to the sports medicine NW team for helping me to heal a long standing injury and hopefully get back soon to full capacity.

From doing suersaults at 40 to sciatic and numbness in my hand Skylar is the guy to go to in Seattle for treatment. Not just for immediate chiropractic relief he genuinely cares and developed exercises/stretches I could do at home to help in my recovery. Skylar's individual care and attention to what is causing the pain is always his top priority he explains what he is doing and makes sure you understand WHY he is doing it.
I like to say Sports Medicine Northwest is a one stop shop they offer massage and acupuncture too. It's not only convenient to have it all in one location but you

I came here twice for acupuncture and was disappointed by my experience overall. The first visit was good. I felt decently listened to and the staff were sweet and understanding about me being 5 minutes late (I was new to Seattle at the time). The second visit was a collection of all the little accident things that can happen in acupuncture all at once - I had 2 quarter sized swollen bruises, a third flat bruise on my face, a bruised wrist, and my forehead was actively bleeding. I slept for almost 10 hours that night and woke up with extremely dark circles under my eyes. A week later I still had

Great system and amazing support from Dr. Pond. I suffer from sciatic pain and within a few sessions and chiropractic care with strength training, I was able to go from a 7-8 pain scale to a constant 2-3. Just great work! Dr. Pond is a genuinely nice person who takes your health seriously. I almost felt at times that when my pain reverted back to a high intensity, he took it as a personal challenge to change that right away. He is like the Mr. Incredible to chiropractic care.

A co-worker recommend I see Skylar Pond for my back and sciatic pain. I'm so glad I did! If you've hurt yourself trying to do some fancy gym moves or anything CrossFit - go see Skylar. He understands WHY you did it, HOW you did it and what you need to do to get back to do it again - the RIGHT way. The massage therapists (both of them) also give incredibly good deep tissue/sport massages. And the acupuncture was amazing. I went from barely being able to lift my legs up to doing toes-to-bar again. Thank you!

When I first came to see Skylar, I was not in the best shape - a bouldering fall and a really bad rolled ankle left me in pain in my neck, back, hip, and ankle. My friend recommended Skylar to me, since he focuses not only on adjustments, but true rehabilitation and physical therapy exercises.
I've been to a few chiropractors, and Skylar is by far the most professional and results-driven I have seen. His initial examination was thorough and instead of having me tell him what was hurting, he had me do small tests and movements to narrow in on exactly what was wrong. He then gave me a few exercises
