We recently purchased a large bronze sculpture from an auction house in LA. We called NP&C to get a price on pickup, crating & shipping & got a quick response back from Chris. The price was good, pickup time & crating was speedy. They certainly know what they are doing & we would not hesitate to do business with them again for a future purchase. Chris stayed in touch with us till we received our 702# crate. We would highly recommend them for any services they offer!!

I've been using this company for the last 3 years for various crating/shipping and have always been happy with their services.
Today, I had the most rude, unprofessional customer service experience to date. I called to ask how busy they were, as I was interested in dropping off materials for crating. In a rude, condescending tone, the response was, "uhh well ya, we're swamped" in which I responded, "uhm ok thanks" and hung up. None of that was terrible but this is where it got really bad.
I couldnt help but feel uncomfortable with how the conversation played out. I called back to try to move

Called this place and asked for a quote - he said he was busy and asked me to send him a email. I sent him several emails he never answered one. I got another quote on the phone from mainstream shipper for a great price..Do not go do this guy, he is rude and does not know how to run a business..I had done business with this company before but never again...

Can't say enough good things about this company. I called them at the last minute for a pallet wrapping request for a shipment the next day. They didn't think they'd be able to help me, but they referred me to someone who they thought might (and ultimately did, excellently). They actually even offered to take a person off of an existing job to assist me if their recommended referral couldn't assist. Incredible people. Highly, highly recommended.

I needed to ship a large and very valuable piece of artwork across the country. I obtained 3 quotes in the Irvine/Santa Ana area. Newport Pack & Crate got the business. I met with Chris at their shop and he was professional , knowledgeable and efficient. They built an strong crate, and took care of the shipping quickly and accurately. Painting traveled 3000 miles and arrived quickly and safely. Because of the value of the item, they chose an appropriate service where the box would be stored in an appropriate warehouse at both ends, and was delivered with what I'd call "white glove

Would not recommend this company at all!
Beware of hidden fees!!!!
It took several days of email just to get a quote. Then it took over a week and two followups in order to have them initiate the work after agreeing to the quote. They then changed the quote with an unexplained "convenience fee", which I learned was a 3% surcharge if I decided to pay by credit card.
The project took over a month to crate and ship.
The communication was unprofessional and snotty. The urgency was non-existent. And for a business-to-business service, they made payment difficult, - - only taking check or cash (unless

I would highly recommend Newport pack and crate, they did a great job packing and crating my 7 thousand pound mining equipment from Utah to Los Angeles.
They are very friendly, offered great pricing and solutions that reduced the dimensions of my crate, I'm thankful for their great service and look forward to doing business with them again.

Newport Pack & Crate were awesome. Had some vinyl records to pick up in Beverly Hills to ship to Canada. They built a crate that was essentially indestructible and stayed late on the Thursday before Thanksgiving long weekend to make sure the carrier picked them up so that they would move over the weekend. Highly highly recommended for all your crating needs.

Bravo! Chris & his team did a fabulous job of shipping some sentimental items (some of which were antiques) to two different addresses for me. From beginning to end, they were prompt, professional, and kept me informed about when my items were picked up from a third party and when they were being shipped to TWO different addresses. A pretty complicated request, which they executed perfectly. The things were very well packed, and I was amazed about how promptly we received them. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future and recommend them to others looking for this type of service

This review is for my 2nd use of Newport Pack and Crate. In both cases they picked up art, crated and shipped to my new location in Nebraska.
I am amazed at how well they can crate items.
In this case I had 17 items. 1 went in one crate due to it's odd size and the remaining pieces were all placed into one large crate. All were snug in an extremely well constructed wooden crate and they all arrived with no issues.
Both Chris and Doug were of great help.
I highly recommend the company.
All items I had insured as very valuable. No issues with such.

BEWARE! Do not use for valuable items! They will leave your crate at the delivery location without a signature, and insist that you verbally accepted the item for delivery even when you did not! They also (and this is the actual language they used) told me to go f*** myself when I called to address the issue. Incredibly unprofessional people.

I have been working with Doug and Chris at Newport Pack and Crate for many years. They are the "go to" if you are shipping art. I have used them for deliveries and "pick ups" to galleries and collectors across the US. I was surprised to read the reviews as they have very good customer service. If a person has never worked with them before or dropped off art I can understand their confusion/frustration. They are usually in back crating up art - often sculptures larger than me. Much of their business is repeat, galleries etc and they are always super busy.
