Recently visited eco dive for the first time I was really impressed by the level of attention and Great customer service. Cole and Andrea and extremely knowledgeable about which scuba gear fits my specific needs, and were able to guide me in the right direction. Definitely looking forward to my advance certification. We had multiple instances of miscommunication and that's why I didn't rate them a 5, however our dive instructor Andrea was the reason that they got back up to 4 stars. I got all of my gear and certs through Eco Dive Center and would do it all again here anytime. They have the best instructors and really help you get what you need no matter your budget as far as equipment. I’ve felt like a confident diver since my open water cert and am now working towards my Dive Master since starting scuba a little over a year ago. Shout out to Char for instructing and Jason for gear knowledge. Can’t beat the boat ticket prices either! $159 for three dives, two meals, world class dive sites, and great crews.

Just finished Open Water SCUBA certification through Eco Dive and had a blast! The staff were super helpful and low pressure, focusing on making sure we got the gear that would work best for us rather than pushing us towards pricey options.

DO NOT GET CERTIFIED HERE!! They cost twice as much and are truly unprofessional. I got re-certified here and they lost my records. My boyfriend attempted to get certified here - they didn't have half the gear we needed (pressuring us to buy it) and then when he got sick and needed to reschedule/cancel they only gave us half our money back. Even worse, every time we walked into the office everyone who worked there was no where to be seen or clearly stoned. GO ELSEWHERE.

I've been to a few different dive shops around LA and this one is the best. Will be going there for all my dive needs even though it's far from my house. The staff is very helpful, friendly and easy to talk to. I'm getting back into diving after 15 years and I didn't feel out of place not being an expert. At some other shops I felt like an idiot. They really helped match me with the gear I was looking for and didn't try to upsell me on gear more expensive than I needed. I came in with a regulator i bought off of Offerup. I wasn't sure it was even serviceable as it is not the newest thing out there. They checked it thoroughly and gave it the green light. They put it on a tank, made sure the SPG read correctly, both regulators worked, there wasn't IP creep, etc...Was in and out quite quickly.

Can't recommend more! The dive shop handles everything for your certification and makes the whole process about as efficient as possible, whether it's getting your gear or your actual PADI certification. You also get two sweet trips to Catalina included!

I signed up on one of the boat trips with Eco divers, so I can't say much about the certification classes except for what I observed while on the boat. One good thing I noticed was that the Advanced students were encouraged to use DSMBs and to practice with them, which is a good skill to have in those conditions.
That said, there were a few things that just didn't sit right with me about my experience. There were maybe twice as many students as regular divers on the boat, so the sites catered the conditions to the students. It would have been nice to know before booking the trip that it would

I've never taken a class with them or gone diving with them so this is directed at the people who work at the shop. They have the worst customer service at their shop. They are seriously the rudest people who work there. Any time I call or come in they act as if I'm interrupting them or can't be bothered by me. This is no way to run a place that deals with the public. I'm done with this place.

Good equipment and very friendly dive instructors. The gear was brand new and the refresher class was extremely comprehensive and focused on safety skills which was great to re-review. (5 Stars for Sebastian and Mike for running a thorough class!)

This is a great dive shop. They will match prices and have all of the latest gear. The instructors are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and the shop continuously offers a wide range of classes. I can’t recommend this place enough! Got open water certified here years ago and it was a great experience. Came back recently to buy some gear/courses and Char hooked me up with some great deals. They always seem to have some amazing sales going on.
I just did my rescue cert this past weekend with Tim Yeo as my instructor. Wow, this man is passionate about diving and makes the course a lot of fun while also seriously ingraining important lessons into his students. 2 years ago I did my Rescue Diver course through Eco. Scuba Steve was awesome and thorough and made sure the whole class new everything in and out. He didn't mind staying late to answer questions and was very good at illustrating the concepts. The beach and boat test days were intense, but we all went home feeling very confident in our new skills I'd highly recommend him if he's still there.
The dive shop is also well equipped and the staff will help you find the right gear and answer any questions. You can rent nitrox tanks here if you're certified, and they check the blend

I have gotten my advance certification here and will be going to Catalina Island tomorrow to complete my Rescue Diver certification. I can't tell you how informative, patient, encouraging, and fun this team is. Oleg is my Rescue instructor and definitely my favorite dive teacher. Zack was my teacher in the past and also very good. Jake and Jason in the dive shop have a special talent pointing you in the right direction that fits your needs. They have a great dive community and shop that makes you feel like your on vacation. I was wanting to boogie board and hated wetsuits !! they broke my nails trying them on and I was frustrated and out of breath. The salesman Jason said try on this Sharkskin suit . WOWWWW super smooth and slid on easily . I bought some booties also and tried it out at the beach on a 56 degree day . I read up on it in the changing room and it said it was like a 3 mil suit to keep me warm. Well as I walked in to the surf I felt nothing and stayed warm the whole time :)))) The store was super helpful even thought I was a pain in the butt about switching out suits because of my own stupidity about

Coming back to scuba after a couple years, I couldn't imagine going anywhere besides Eco Dive. After getting Open Water & Advanced Open Water with Eco a few years back, I returned to them for a refresher. The following weekend I signed up for Rescue, and now am onto Dive Master! Not only are the instructors brilliant, patient, & hilarious, but every employee at the shop & all the fellow divers in the Eco Dive community are a joy.
