When the Savings & Loan (S&L) Crisis debacle occurred in early 1990's, TRG became a designated consultant for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as it sorted through thousands of real estate holdings that needed environmental assessment and/or remediation.During real estate transactions or financings, TRG offers environmental due diligence services of all types.

The Reynolds Group has successfully completed projects for City, County, State, and Federal Agencies, and governing authorities since its inception in 1989. Early on, TRG was the consultant and contractor of preference for the County of Orange - General Services Administration. We were engaged to perform Real Estate Due Diligence, Site Assessments, Remediation, and Underground Storage Tank work throughout the County.
Commonly, dry cleaners use a substance called tetrachloroethylene (PCE) in their clothes-cleaning processes. PCE is a substance with known health risks that sinks when it makes contact with wet soils and groundwater. Since PCE is heavier than water, it is called a Dense Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (DNAPL), or a "sinker" because it sinks to the bottom of water tables.
Since 1989 The Reynolds Group has been helping gas station owners assess and remediate the soil and groundwater contamination at their sites, receiving closure (No Further Action) letters from regulators for hundreds of cases. We removed thousands of UST's in the 1990's leading to a significant backlog of assessment and remediation cases.
