It is with pure delight that I welcome you to our web page and introduce to you the dream work in progress that is Morning Light Montessori. Building a Montessori learning community is a spiritual journey for me, a calling I have saught to answer since my first experiences with Montessori over 20 years ago.
The Montessori philosophy and methodology were developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, during the first half of the twentieth century. She founded the first Montessori school "Casa Di Bambini" or Children's House in the slums of Rome in 1907. Her first class consisted of around 50 children suffering from poverty and neglect.
Our Montessori classroom is a community of children from a multiage span of three to four years, from 2 to 6 years old. This creates a "family" like group where older children model and help care for younger children, and younger children look up to and learn from the older children. Varying levels of ability blend easily in a multiage setting, no child feels left behind and everyone learns at their own pace.

Our son has absolutely loved his year of preschool here. After interviewing several other preschools, I knew almost as soon as I walked in that this was the place for us. Mrs. Aurora is very knowledgeable and experienced in the Montessori philosophy. I myself did not know much about it, but have loved seeing my son thrive in his learning under it. I would highly recommend her preschool to anyone interested!

Morning Light has been a positive and enriching experience for two of our children. Ms. Aurora is an experienced guide who has completed a Master's Degree in Montessori studies. She strikes an amazing balance in the classroom of following the children's natural interests and providing timely lessons to help them expand their curiosity and build skills. Her emphasis on nurturing the spirit of each child and helping them develop their own voice has been a blessing to our family.

Ms. Aurora was our son’s montessori guide before she opened her in-home school. He really loves her and learned a lot in her class. She is always ready to give feedback and address any questions we have and is very attentive and compassionate toward the kids. The set-up at Morning Light Montessori is idea for our active little guy and we look forward to more years with Ms. Aurora.
