Our small, hand-selected team of club-quality, professional DJs have thousands of hours of experience each, performing at hundreds of weddings, clubs, bars, festivals, corporate events, concerts, parties and more. While some DJs (and DJ companies) are extremely cheesy, we pride ourselves in being the opposite, energetic, real, raw, and down to earth (we don't even have the chicken dance, macarena, hokey pokey, etc.).

Planning a wedding can be difficult for some and no wedding is exactly the same. Here, we'll try to answer some of the most common questions we receive. It's really common for couples to request that certain songs be played at their wedding, especially for the father/daughter dance and other important parts of the event.

Everything was amazing! Kyle absolutely killed it and I cannot begin to tell how much fun we had. So many people came up to me and the groom during the wedding to say how much fun they were having on the dancefloor.
One of the biggest things my husband and I wanted for our wedding was to have a good time and party the entire reception and that's exactly what we got. Kyle did amazing - we gave him an idea of the vibe we wanted and a couple of song suggestions and he took that and went above and beyond. We gave him complete control to pick the music for cocktail hour and dinner and it was awesome

Wow, there are no words to truly capture how incredibly Mixing Maryland’s whole team is. We worked with Ryan and Kyle throughout the whole process and they were by far the most dedicated, thoughtful and fun team we could have ever worked with. With COVID, the team was intentional and made sure to come up with plans based on our guests comfort levels of dancing. We had Kyle for our DJ, and he was unbelievable. Mixing Maryland came highly recommended by our planner, The Hitched Co. Based on their awesome reviews and Ryan's prompt responses and communication I didn't hesitate to hire them. Jordan was amazing during the entire planning process. The in-person demonstration got us excited for our party, and was a wonderful preview of the talent he has! He has been very responsive, and professional throughout working with. Similar to many others, our wedding was impacted by COVID-19. Mixing Maryland was amazing to work with. We were looking for a DJ that would be a great emcee, keep the dance floor going and was NOT cheesy. Mixing Maryland checks all these boxes and more. Ryan made the whole process super easy and provided a personal touch throughout. We talked about everything we were looking for and Ryan thought Pedro would be the best fit for us. We used Kyle from Mixing Maryland for our ceremony sound and reception music. Kyle and Mixing Maryland were outstanding. Throughout the process, they were responsive to emails and requests. Just as we wished, our guests were on the dance floor from the first dance through the last call. Kyle seemed to understand our musical tastes even better than we did and chose crowd-pleasing song after crowd-pleasing song. In my opinion, Kyle's DJ skills go beyond what you typically see at weddings to include some really cool transitions between songs. Thanks Kyle and Mixing Maryland!

In the beginning we were communicating with Ryan who was great and quick to respond. He thought Kyle would be a good fit for us and he was absolutely correct. Kyle was willing to FaceTime with us early on and do a demo, which allowed us to get to know him a bit before our wedding day. DJ Q was the best part about our wedding! ;) It’s been almost 3 weeks since our wedding and we still have people coming up to us and telling us how great the music was and how much fun they had! There were people dancing ALL night!! We even had to move some of the tables over to make room for more guests on the dance floor. He played all of our favorite songs that we requested and put together an amazing mix for our cocktail hour, dinner music and dancing music. We asked for a good mix of everything and DJ Q put together just that! We had people on the dance floor from age 5 to age 80!

We used Kyle at Mixing Maryland for our wedding and he was incredible. There wasn't a second during the night where the dance floor wasn't full! He was very accommodating with some of the requests that we had and was extremely personable and easy to work with.

My (now) husband and I decided to book with Mixing Maryland after a call with Ryan, the owner, and Kyle, the DJ Ryan felt would be a great fit for the vibe we wanted at our wedding. We used DJ Kyle from Mixing Maryland and could not have asked for a better DJ! He spent time going over our day of schedule in full detail and played all of the songs that we requested! He even pronounced all of our eclectic wedding party names correctly. He was a little skeptical of all of the Polish music that we sent him before the wedding (my husband's side of the family are all Polish), but as soon as he saw that guests flocked to the dance floor every time they heard a Polish song, he continued playing them throughout the night which made all of our guests extremely happy!

If I could give six or even 10 stars here I would. Mixing Maryland was my wedding DJ this last weekend and people are STILL talking about the music. I knew that we had made the right decision when I looked over and Kyle, our DJ was wearing our glowsticks and having as much fun as we were.

Mixing Maryland DJ'd our wedding and they were amazing. From a logistics standpoint, we worked primarily with Ryan who was informative, prompt, and kind in answering all of our questions. Kyle was our actual DJ and he was great! He hopped on 2 prep calls with us, talked us through some of the transitions (e.g. Going from cake cutting to dinner to parent dances, etc), and created an amazing playlist for us. He took our list of a few songs we loved and also read the crowd to make sure people were dancing all night. Many of our guests commented on how good the music was. I highly recommend Mixing

Wedding music was very important to me since I absolutely love to dance and Kyle at Mixing Maryland delivered big time for my wedding. He was awesome!
