We provide consciously grown, high-quality blooms that enrich the ecosystem, feed the soul and fill the heart. Free Range Flowers is a small family farm business run by Celeste Monke and Jay Roelof. We grow annual and perennial flowers and herbs for retail and wholesale in Bellingham, WA on 8 acres of sandy loam, traditional territory of the Nooksack tribe.
All flowers are grown organically without chemically formulated fertilizers, growth stimulants, or pesticides. While many imported flowers lose their scent or cause skin irritation due to chemical treatments in order to last for weeks over vast distances, ours are local, safe enough for babies to smell and in some cases, even edible!

Services
DIY flower buckets are bulk farm-fresh blooms and foliage in the palette of your choice at wholesale prices. Buckets included. For pickup only. They communicate what we don't have the right words for, what the poetry can't quite get at, what you feel when you are over the moon in love. We believe that flowers should help craft meaning in the singular moments when the soul brims over.
Besides being a grower, she's a lover, an optimist, and a bit of a rebel with an exceptional ability to dial in and focus. She worked in native plant seed collection and propagation prior to her work on the flower farm in Bellingham, Washington. Celeste is happiest on the water, in the mountains or at home on the farm where she sows seeds, plants flowers, eats vegetables, crafts bouquets, and answers your emails!

We hired Celeste to provide both bulk/DIY flowers for decorating our wedding, as well as a few “a la carte” designed pieces (bride & maid of honor bouquets, flower crown, boutonnières). I gave her pretty vague direction (PNW-y, blues and oranges…) and what she came up with was PERFECT! We ordered three buckets flowers and 1 greenery for bud vases on reception tables and decorating other tables, and that turned out to be quite a bit more than we needed - had lots left over. My husband and I picked everything up the day before (a nice break from wedding prep madness!) and Celeste was so kind

Celeste is very talented and a pleasure to work with! I found her on Instagram and was impressed with her floral arrangements when gaining inspiration for my wedding flowers.
When I contacted her, she was prompt in her response and worked with me to meet my needs. I was going to be having a destination wedding and needed a flower crown and bouquet that could withstand a 5 hour car drive in July AND last overnight until the following day. She made me a gorgeous set that both encompassed my vision and was practical for travel.
I will definitely be using Free Range Flowers for any of my floral arrangement

Celeste is such a joy to work with! I stumbled upon her website while looking for a Whatcom county flower farm who could provide us with buckets full of flowers and greenery for our wedding. From our very first emails, Celeste was incredibly helpful in refining my thoughts, getting them on paper, and estimating how many flowers we would need. I felt so reassured that we were in good hands, and when we arrived to pick up our flowers the day before the wedding, I couldn't believe how many she had safely fit into the buckets! Celeste was so great to work with. We worked with her for our wedding, and everything was perfect - she took the colors and flowers we liked and created an in-season selection that was breathtaking. I purchased bulk flowers from Celeste for my wedding in June. I'm not a flower person, so it was really nice to tell her the colors I wanted and have her pick out all the flowers and filler. I loved the flowers she picked! They were super unique and varied. I was able to build a gorgeous bouquet and had way more than enough flowers for other decorations. She was awesome to work with throughout the entire process.
