Services
I was born in Mumbai (Bombay), a city of nearly 20 million people, and had a wonderful, colorful childhood surrounded by family in a closely knit community. I received my Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, then pursued my Masters Degree in Sociology at the University of Mumbai. When my husband, Abhi, and I decided to move to the US, I continued my education and pursued a degree in MIS from Virginia Commonwealth University.
At Compass Academy, we celebrate our families and host various events throughout the year in the safest way possible. This is where you want your kids to be. And you'll know it too the minute you walk in the door. The teachers LOVE my children (like more than I do at times haha). I know this because my girls are so excited when they see their teachers.
Our idea of an outdoor kitchen doesn't limit these creative minds in their cuisine options. This countertop station gives kids room to whip up whatever comes to mind while surrounded by 15 tons of sand. The sky is the limit when you craft from ingredients found outdoors. We took simple log slices and let the children gather "toppings" from the school yard to create masterpieces.
Toddlers are taught to "Do it Yourself". Their daily routine fosters autonomy and promotes personal confidence and emotional development. Our caregivers will stimulate fine motor skill development with tactile play techniques and expose toddlers to a variety of passive and active activities to balance their day.
Our Pre-K focus takes a Multi-Disciplinary Approach based on the Multiple Intelligence and Multi-Sensorial learning through individual, small group, large group and community based projects.

Compass is hands down the best daycare in the area. We started our son there at 8 months and by week 3 he was reaching for his teachers every morning during drop off! Trusting someone with the care of your children is a hard decision and everyone at compass made it so easy. The staff is amazing, the owner is heavily involved everyday and you are always kept informed with what’s going on, photos of your children, what they are, etc. There is truly no better daycare to trust with the care of your child!

Very organized, well planned out curriculum and their app and group chat makes everything communicative and transparent.
Jeena, the owner, is hands-on, knows everything and everyone attending her academy.
My 2 year old son loves this place with it's creativity, outdoor lifestyle, recycling activities and diverse peers and teachers... and so do I!

And I feel like since she’s the owner she’s invested more than staff at these other franchised daycare factories. It’s super clean and well maintained. They also spend a lot of time outside which is a huge fan of. There is literally nothing I would change about this place.

This is an excellent Preschool and Childcare, where works real professionals, who have a big and kind heart. My daughter did not speak English when she started going a group. Despite this, she was very comfortable and she walks with joy every day. She has found new friends and pleases us with her creative work. We really like that teachers talk about holidays of different nations, arrange holidays and theme days

Compass academy is an amazing place for kids to be every day. It’s super clean, organized, has tons of outside space. Literally a dream daycare. What’s best is the home-like environment. Ms Jeena seems to treat the kids exactly like her own. I came in one time and my daughter had fallen and was upset. A lot of people would’ve (understandably) just said “you’re ok, keep playing!” but Ms Jeena was holding her, trying to distract her and it made me realize— I would never find a better place for my baby! They serve great meals, and they use apps to keep you updated on your child’s day

We cannot say enough about our experience at Compass Academy. Jeena and team do a fantastic job of providing a nurturing, fun environment for children to learn and grow. The facility is always clean, and the staff is consistently looking for new ways to enhance the childcare experience (garden, new playground equipment, etc). The business operations also run very smoothly. Wonderful place!

Thank you so much Compass Academy. They took care of my daughter so well and always showed compassion towards her as well as myself. The staff is very welcoming and always comforting. Even on their busiest days and when the babies are cranky, they still express comfort and a peaceful environment towards the families and children. They made it very easy to trust them with you child. I never had any issues and I'm forever thankful. I greatly appreciate your guys help and kindness.

We love Compass Academy for many reasons. They have a low infant to teacher ratio, the children have the opportunity to be outside frequently, and the teachers emphasize learning through playing. I love that all of the teachers have years of experience. I continue to be impressed with their use of technology so that I can easily monitor my child's activity throughout the day.

Compass Academy was an answer to our daycare prayers! After shopping around Smyrna, we found Compass Academy through a friend's recommendation and couldn't be happier. The atmosphere is great for our 3 month old and I am comfortable knowing he's well taken care of and loved. Jeena has been fabulous to work with, and truly makes the experience feel personal. They also have some GREAT technology that lets me get a sneak peek into my little one's day before I even pick him up. As a new momma who misses her little man, this has been amazing. We even get pictures of him some days during the day! Highly

Compass Academy is just wonderful. The nightmare of finding a daycare as a new mom is so stressful. Please take time and tour and meet the team. Jeena and the Compass Academy teachers are amazing and took away that stress. Obviously I wish I could be home with my son, but that's not an option and Compass was the best choice for my family!!! They have become apart of our family! My son is so happy and as a mom you can't ask for anything better.

When we moved to Smyrna 3 years ago, we were not happy with any day care in the area and Jeena's day care was literally an answered prayer. It did not take us long to understand our daughter was in best hands.The first five years of a child's life are fundamentally important. At her school you can be assured that child receives plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day and all the encouragement and support your child needs. Jeena goes out of her way and above and beyond what is expected from a daycare provider.

The family who owns this daycare saved me 8 years ago when the daycare was run from their home. (Lil Critters). My daughter experienced a warm, loving and fun environment after a nightmare experience with a different area daycare where kids were ill attended to and had snot running down their faces. Knowing my child was so happy hanging out with "Auntie Jeena" and Miss Krystal helped me focus on my job during the day. We've remained trusted friends over the years. Your child will be cared for as if they were one of the daycare worker's own cherished children.
