Services
The first winery on Seneca Lake, widely known for its warm hospitality and magnificent lakeside setting, has garnered exemplary reviews both in and outside the Finger Lakes region. When the Farm Winery Act of 1976 was passed, Gene Pierce, along with Eastman Beers, Edward Dalrymple, all independent grape growers at the time, and businessman Howard Kimball, seized the opportunity to open the winery on Seneca Lake, the very first on the lake.
Whether spring, summer, fall or winter, Glenora Wine Cellars offers tastings all year long. Located on Seneca Lake in New York's Finger Lakes Wine Country, each season offers a different and unique sight at our picturesque winery resort. We offer wine tastings for individuals and groups alike. As Seneca Lake's very first winery and a staple of the region for nearly 40 years, our wines have won numerous awards.
Take your visit and tasting to the next level with chocolate and wine! We've selected wines that pair perfectly with Dimitri's rich and creamy chocolate truffles. Whether you're a chocolate lover or are just looking for a unique food and wine pairing, we're sure you'll find our Chocolate & Wine Experience deliciously worth it!
Born and raised in New Jersey, Edward Miller always knew he was bound to return to the East Coast. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Edward moved to Ithaca to get involved in the wine industry, and caught the bug. His career began at Lucas Vineyards on Cayuga Lake. During his time at Lucas, he completed the UC Davis Winemaking Certificate program as well.
Glenora has more to offer than any other Finger Lakes Winery. Not only do we have a winery, but we have a fantastic restaurant, an Inn, and some amazing events. Glenora Wine Cellars Rewards Program: Are you a frequent visitor to the winery? Do you love Glenora wines? If yes, then you deserve to be rewarded for your loyalty!

The only room available to book was their lowest priced Double Queen but it was actually very nice and had a balcony overlooking the Vineyards and lake. We were given vouchers for two wine tastings and also a bottle of white wine which we appreciated. There was also an included Continental Breakfast that you could access from the hallway and bring to your room.
The dinner we had was very good and the outside balcony provided a nice view.
The two negatives were the check in and out process that was lacking in the customary courtesies but otherwise efficient. Also at dinner we asked the Server

I recently stayed in the Cottage at the Inn at Glenora. It was very clean and in a great location, in proximity to the
center of town.
I do have some safety concerns:
-there is no path from the driveway to the front or side entrance to the cottage. While we were there, there was severe weather with flooding. The grass was saturated and unsafe to walk on
-there is no lighting , except for a porch light. It is a very secluded area
-the top step of the porch area is extremely high with no railing. Fall risk!
-not sure what the purpose of the air conditioner location. Cool air does not reach

What a lovely winery and charming inn. Upon arrival, I received a complimentary wine tasting. The staff was knowledgeable and the selection was very good.
The view from the top floor room looks out onto the vineyard, with Seneca Lake further in the background. If I woke up to this view everyday, my life would be complete!
The room was very clean and a cold bottle of wine was awaiting us in the refrigerator. I can't wait to go back.

The view from the inn is fantastic. The balcony seating is great for an afternoon glass of wine. A bottle of wine is included in the stay and room service is available. The restaurant is decent although limited selections right now. Very easy check in and check out. Rooms are spacious and the fireplace was a great perk.

I love the beautiful scenery at this inn and I understand that COVID presents new challenges. We were there with ten other people on a bike trip and I just wish the staff was a little less "annoyed" every time you'd ask for something. We all experienced it and it wouldn't take that much to change the attitude to accommodating and helpful. This was true mostly in the dining room. Also would be nice to have water or beverages or snacks to purchase in the lobby.

I understand it's Covid time and I have to say that everyone here was very polite, helpful. The housekeeping staff was very, very loud, though. They were knocking on the neighbor's doors and we about hit the ceiling. The doors all slam loud and the Inn gave us the room right next to the main entrance, (of course). The walls were beyond thin. I think if they were built with paper we would have had more quiet. We learned more about the neighbor's lives than we really wanted to. And the last thing I want to say is that the shower drain did not drain. I had to wait about 15 minutes before

We checked in yesterday and we have decided that when we come to the Finger Lakes, this is where we will stay! Rooms are clean and spacious. You get a complimentary bottle of wine and 2 bottles of water in your room. You also get a complementary glass of wine at check in! Also free wine tastings for 2 people!
Happy hour at the bar is nice. Try the chicken fingers and fresh cut fries ! Enough for 2 people!
You get tastings at the on-site winery !
The view of Seneca Lake from your room is absolutely beautiful!

I will say I loved staying in close proximity to watkins glen and the view from the inn is gorgeous. That being said, given the price per night, the room is not worth it. As others have said, the internet was almost non-existent, the TV worked when it wanted to, and the beds had huge divets in them. The mattresses must be from 2000 when the place was built. I ended up waking up every hour or so for 2 nights. I also woke up with a stiff neck. Being able to walk up to taste wine was convenient.

4 stars for the fantastic lake views and the big size of the room. The rooms are very dated, so don't expect much there. You can sit on the patio and watch the sunset but will have to go in right at sunset because an amazing swarm of beetles attacks every night. Also, people say the internet is sketchy? It is NON-existent, so don't come here if you don't have unlimited data on your phone or you need to use a computer. When I could connect with my computer it was extremely slow and I was kicked off every few seconds. The price was fairly good, but I think next time I am in the area

Very conveniently located, quiet and great views. I do recommend trying the restaurant on site. We also recommend the FLX Wienery which was less than 1 mile away, if you need to grab a quick bite before checking in. When you are wine tasting all afternoon, it is so convenient to be able to take a short break to cool off and relax in your room and get freshened up before walking to dinner.

After decades of travel, we're pretty picky about our hotel accommodations. We found this gem while wine touring. Well appointed rooms with fantastic views of Lake Seneca. On the same grounds as the Winery and convenient to Watkins Glen. Friendly staff who greeted us with a complimentary bottle of wine and tasting passes. We visited in early June so the crowds were light and room rates less than $200. Plan on staying here on future visits.

For New Years my boyfriend and I bought a room for their New Years Celebration. Our room came with a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate covered strawberries, a fireplace, and an amazing view. The celebration started out with hors d'oeuvre in their bar area. Everything was delicious and they never had a dry platter; food kept pouring out of the kitchen. We also got a free glass of wine at the bar and a free glass of wine at the inn's main desk. We even got wine tasting vouchers. Glenora just kept giving us free wine. We made reservations at their restaurant for dinner. It was extremely

Stayed here for 2 nights for an early 4th of July vacation and it was fabulous. The inn has a gorgeous view of the Seneca Lake and located on the property behind their vineyard. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean. The hotel even included a bottle of wine and free wine tasting at their winery for each person and each day staying at the inn. Glenora is located on the west side of the lake, which is limited in food choices, but they have a nice restaurant on the premise.

This was an amazing place to stay overnight. The small, cozy, environment with breathtaking views was perfect for our trip (even during a march winter storm weekend). We booked through hotels.com which made it more reasonable for us and could definitely help people out in the summer months. This price included two complimentary glasses of champagne, a bottle of their wine, and free wine tastings for two people at the winery. This was all a cherry on top of the reservation price and views!! I can't wait to visit and stay another time when we can enjoy the patio!
