Motive Transition Therapy is our highly effective approach to emotional healing - it's the foundation of Rock House Center's superior and consistent client results. We use this methodology to uncover the root causes of negative emotions and unwanted behaviors. As each cause is identified, we guide our clients through healing at the source of their struggle in the context of Biblical truth and prayer.
To provide the most effective healing process available to those suffering from: troubled relationships, emotional distress and self-destructive behavior. Since 2006, we have provided Biblical counseling to promote spiritual health and healing based on the common call of all mankind to be transformed into God's image and reap the benefits of a new life.
Grounded in 15 years of successful application of Biblical principles, our approach addresses the root causes of emotional suffering, self-defeating behaviors and troubled relationships. Rock House Center's unique approach to Christian counseling is grounded in our proprietary therapy program - Motive Transition Therapy.
While other forms of counseling and treatment are open-ended, potentially continuing over a long period, the Rock House Center process is limited to 32 hours of counseling, typically provided over 16 weeks. Our therapy is not designed to 'journey through life' with clients helping them 'cope with their struggles' - as is often case with secular therapies.
There is no mental health diagnosis in a client's file and no stigma of engaging a mental health practitioner. Motive Transition Therapy does not incorporate or attempt to replicate mental health practices. RHC counselors are trained and certified in our proprietary Biblical counseling approach and use only that methodology.

The Rock House Center's Divine Parenting Counseling sessions have transformed our relationship with our 19 year old twin daughters, and taught us so much about how to parent more like God parents us. Our Counselor, Angela Hooper, was incredibly honest, tender-hearted and truly helpful in customizing our particular sessions to focus on what our needs were. Just to give you a little background, I am currently 31. I was an atheist until I was 26 years old. I found Jesus and was healed of bipolar disorder and chronic GERD. I have seen a secular therapist since I was 10 years old, starting with family therapy and then moving on to individual therapy by the time I was 12. I never felt it really "worked".… They just helped me treat some symptoms or maintain, but didn't do a great job, because I still found myself in psychiatric facilities in-patient hospital stays in my early 20's.

Amazing experience with Rock House - could not recommend more. The 16-week program, workbook, video resources, counselors, and the Brentwood office are all excellent. I've told everyone I know about my experience gaining peace in all aspects of my life, rejecting lies, declaring truth, and connecting with God in all matters. The only regret I have about Rock House is that I didn't go through the program sooner. I have seen counselors (secular and biblical) on and off for 35 years, and none of them approached my "issues" like Rock House. But, my issues weren't exactly approached . . . Jesus was presented. I now truly believe that when we seek first the kingdom of God, all other things will be added. Deep work was being done in sessions, in the workbook, and in prayer. I cannot begin to fully explain how much Rock House Center has changed my life. Before Rock House, I felt fearful of and disconnected from God. I was lacking in faith and honestly, riddled with doubt. My hope was at an all-time low and I was struggling with anxiety, panic, fear, and depression to the extreme. BUT GOD! I am SO unbelievably grateful… for my Rock House experience. I am no longer depressed. Rather than fighting off panic attacks daily, I am now full of hope and trust in the Lord - which is huge. It seems so obvious...align your heart with Jesus and the rest shall fall into place. But without this journey I would not have realized how far I was from this. If you are having marriage problems, addictions, anger or any other behavior that is causing pain or shame this journey will reveal things to you that change you for the better. Fear and anxiety will lose hold as you learn the TRUE heart of God and dismantle those strongholds in your heart you didn't even realize were there.

I was so grateful to find Rock House center upon my arrival to Tennessee. I can honestly say that I was in a very desperate place. I had move here alone, was navigating through everyday life, and dealing with many transitions. That being enough, I also had a lot of hurt that I thought was dealt with, but I quickly realized that was not the case, and I sought out counseling. When comparing various programs, I really liked that this was a 16 week program, and that there was an end in sight- rather than feeling like counseling would be a crutch with an unknown end. I don't see this as talk therapy

I love RHC. It is not only a safe place to feel heard and comforted but a shelter from the hustle and bustle that we can all feel with busy schedules and hectic thoughts. I found greater peace, heart transformation, and the confidence to be honest with God, others, and myself.
