The Lifeskills South Florida residential program in Deerfield Beach is an amazing facility that really knows how to help people with serious mental illnesses. The staff are super responsive, extremely dedicated and caring, and very smart and knowledgeable about how to help (special shout outs to Kristen Gurdak and Mirella Ezeta!). They are always available to help patients and their families. The facility itself is very attractiive and well run. I cannot recommend this program highly enough

I am writing to applaud the professionalism and kindness of Dr. Nicolle Goldfinger at Lifeskills. Dr. Nicolle has worked with two very complex clients of mine recently and her remarkable clinical skills coupled with an incredible kindness have lead to excellent outcomes in both cases. Dr. Nicolle and the Lifeskills staff provided the care necessary to make healing a reality. She has gone over and above in her commitment to these patients and their families. I strongly recommend Lifeskills for the treatment of substance use disorders and mental health issues.

Our son was extremely treatment resistant and, in fact, we needed to use the Marchman Act to have a court legally remand him to Lifeskills. Thank goodness that we did, as we have been amazed at the progress he made in the 90 day program. He was extremely fortunate to have Dr. Nicolle Goldfinger as his primary therapists - she really performed a miracle. She was firm when necessary and always empathetic. She is an extraordinary professional who is utterly committed to her clients, which includes both the patient and the family. Nicolle always made herself available and we attribute our son's early

Tara Alhadeff is an amazing therapist. She listens, comprehends and provides resources for her clients and their families. I have known Tara for several years and she is a genuine individual that treats everyone with dignity. Tara is helping my family find the best treatment options in order for our nephew to have the skills needed to navigate on his journey.

Completely unequipped to handle and assist those with depression. Higher ups are ineffective and uninterested in helping people. The only thing this facility is good at is making mental health problems worse

I had to give a star to leave a review but honestly I’d leave none. They offered me chamomile tea when I was in full blown withdrawals. Traumatizing. And I had to work as a part time chef and cook my own meals for me and my mentally incapacitated housemates. Woke me up at 6 am to take a walk in the parking lot- like what, I’ve already got my cardio in being at this place. They wanted me at the gym at sixth pounds. My first group the therapist asked me if I was a “banger”. Really vulgar. Staff is not nice. Doctor saw me for seven minutes a week. This place is BAD. Don’t go here. I still

Overcrowded and highly overrated. I spent three months at Lifeskills and have gained so much more at the new treatment center that I am currently at. Their PHP program isn't horrible but the residential staff is. I witnessed a Male staff member punch a female client, and that staff member is still currently working there today as far as I know. They seldom treat clients with any respect. Do your research before sending loved ones here.

I have spent time with patients of Lifeskills while they were at the facility. Lifeskills does a good job of treating the entire patient whether its mental health and/or addiction. Additionally, Rabbi Gaines has been a critical member of the team and does a superb job of connecting with patients and helping them to strengthen their spiritual connections.

Life skills has the best director of nursing. She truly cares about the people and is hardworking and knowledgeable. The other staff members are great and really work together as a team. I had the pleasure to visit the facility and it was better than I expected. The director of nursing was kind and answered all of my questions. She’s truly a professional!
