Because powder is cured at 400 degrees, we cannot coat plastic, wood, or fiberglass. What is the recommended prep procedure?
On new production parts we utilize a multi stage phosphate conversion coating prior to applying powder. On most items however, we prefer to start with a media blasted surface which insures a clean foundation and provides the best adhesion. We blast some pieces in house and subcontract larger items to a local blaster.
