Porters Neck Veterinary Hospital
Our mission is to incorporate all of our clients and patients into the Porters Neck Veterinary Hospital family. The PNVH family practices based on compassion, respect, education and quality care. Through these core values, we expect to exceed our client's expectations and care for patients as though they were our own.

If you are interested in a family-oriented veterinary hospital, one who is more of a trusted friend than a corporate stranger, you've come to the right place. We strive to keep ourselves in touch with our profession "the way it used to be". While maintaining high technical standards, we offer a practical, honest approach to your family member's health and well-being.
Services
Our computerized appointment scheduler allows us to promptly and efficiently schedule appointments. Our receptionists will work with you to accommodate your appointment requests. We will always accept emergencies during our hospital hours. If you feel that your pet is having an emergency, contact us or come in immediately.
Ashlee is our Practice Manager. She has been with us since 2012 and in the veterinary field since 2003. Originally from Cary, NC, Ashlee attended UNCW where she obtained a degree in Biology. During her personal time, Ashlee enjoys crocheting, drawing, reading, spending time with her niece and nephew, and loves to learn about all things medical related.
You may request an appointment by calling our office and we will do our best to accommodate scheduling your request. We request that you call any previous veterinary practices your pet has visited and have their history faxed or emailed to our office ahead of your appointment. This will help cut down on check-in wait times and allow us to further assess your reason for visit.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00am until 6:00pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00am until 12:00pm. On Saturdays our patients must be checked in by 11:00am to be seen. We are closed on Sundays and on most major holidays. In the event of inclement weather, please call our office at (910) 686-6297 or check our Facebook page for updates.

Wow. What a great experience. The staff there is totally professional and friendly and helpful. Took my 15 year old cat in for oral surgery. They fixed him up gave us his prescriptions and followed up with a call a week later. There were no snags or problems of any kind. I was honestly impressed and grateful for the excellent care they provided. Enthusiastically recommend.

Matt Resnick and staff are awesome. We still travel from Raleigh for our 2 pets care.
They are personal and professional.
We live in area surrounded by abundant vet care but still elect to use Porters Neck Veterinary Hospital.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value
We recently entrusted our partially blind, mostly deaf, fourteen year old poodle to PNVH after moving to the area. He has lodged (boarded) there twice now and, amazingly, he has given us excellent reviews. He has eaten his food, come home with all his toys and does not smell much worse than usual. We really like them too.

I was sent by my vet to get Bravecto for my cat, since my vet does not carry it. The young lady at the desk was wonderful ! She was helpful, kind, and shared with me that her brother had just qualified Airborne like this old soldier. Great place, great atmosphere !

With the staffing shortage all employers are facing, PNVH made it very easy to switch from our previous vet. They seem to have a better appointment system, and wait times, from what we were experiencing with our other vet in the last year. Everyone seemed willing to help from the first moment we contacted them. 5 stars

Great veterinary care from cradle to grave. You can go almost anywhere for basic pet medical needs like shots, but Porter's Neck Vet has been given sound, compassionate counsel with new puppies and failing senior dogs alike (and even with healthy adult dogs in between). We're relatively new customers but have had great experiences through most pet events in that time and I recommend Porter's Neck Vet highly.

My dog was very ill with a heart issue. The staff went above and beyond helping Paco get well. He was on oxygen and then transported to the emergency vet because it was heading into the weekend when he got ill. Any help I’ve needed they were on it, and called me back within minutes to help with prescriptions or working with the emergency vet and updating me when he was in the back on oxygen. They even took his meds to the emergency vet. They are respectful, professional, and meticulous in handling details. These people helped my dog completely turn around like he was before getting ill. I love
