Dr. Todd Winkler is one of only a relative few optometrists in Cincinnati that treat keratoconus. I've been practicing optometry in Cincinnati since 1989. More recently, I began providing mobile "house call" eye exams to the home-bound. I've therefore adjusted my practice location and schedule accordingly.
Now, in addition to my mobile eye care practice, I see patients on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at York Vision. On some Saturday's, in addition to making house call eye exams, I'm also available to examine patients at York Vision.

Dr. Todd Winkler is one of only a relatively few optometrists in the Cincinnati area who treats patients with keratoconus, a condition in which the cornea becomes thin and distorted. There are both rigid gas permeable and hybrid lenses available for keratoconus. Since we have multiple fitting sets in-office, a higher success rate is achieved, and the fitting process is expedited.
Whether it be bifocal/progressive eyeglasses, or contact lenses in either bifocal, multifocal or monovision configurations, there is always going to be some degree of compromise involved. It can mean having to hold your head in a certain position to view through a particular part of the lens, or things simply may not be as clear as desired at certain distances.
We know that if you're reading this you probably don't have macular degeneration or any other debilitating eye disease, but maybe you know someone who does. People with low vision have great difficulties with driving, reading, writing, using a computer, watching TV, seeing faces, and many other activities of daily living.
