Hi Yah! Tae Kwon Do values respect, self control, and never giving up. We are a place where kids, teens and adults can learn self defense, weapons, and other integral parts of martial arts. Students will gain confidence and learn discipline as they rise from novice to expert black belt.
With fifteen years of experience teaching in Medford, OR, Hi Yah! has developed a system called 'Ren Waza Do' (The way of combining tecnhiques), which doesn't only teach traditional Tae Kwon Do, but incorporates parts of Karate and Kenpo.Bennett is an excellent instructor. We love Hi Yah!. My two kids and I take class together and also in our separate group classes.

We have been involved in Mr Bennett’s tkd classes with our grandsons for over 7 years now. He has such a gift for making his students comfortable and teaching them respect, responsibility and sense of accomplishment. The students are so proud to earn their stripes and their belts! He has a great way of making learning fun, yet serious. Our grandsons love Hi Yah Tae Kwono!

We love Hi Yah Tae Kwon Do and all the instructors, everyone is always so supportive and encouraging, no one is ever made to feel like they arent good enough or cant get it because everyone takes time with each student to help them improve :-). Mr. Bennett is also always doing fun stuff for the kids especially during the summer!

I have taken Tae Kwon Do from Mr. Bennett for several years now and I can honestly say he's one of the best teachers I've ever had, in any subject. He is professional, attentive and patient with every one of his students. Whether you're kindergarten or in your golden years, he'll make martial arts accessible and enjoyable for you. Do yourself a favor and give this school a try.

Hi Yah Taekwondo is the best martial arts school in Southern Oregon hands down. Mr Bennett and his teachers are fantastic. They make learning Taekwondo fun while instilling discipline and self worth into every lesson. Mr Bennett strives to make a meaningful connection with every student. They do not rush through the training like some other schools might. The teachers want to make sure the students have a good understanding of a movement or technique before moving on.

My now 6 and 7 year olds started at 5 and 6. Both girls have fit into the sport, and the classes very well. My younger daughter decided to try other activities after receiving her orange belt, but my oldest has continued on.
Mr Bennett is kind, funny and professional. The culture and environment he's created for the students, both young and old, is excellent. My kids have been involved in tons; horse riding, acrobatics, art, ballet, cheer, swim, basketball, ice hockey and figure skating. The culture at Hi Yah! tae kwon do is the best of any other.
Prices are very reasonable. You get a group

Hi Yah is a wonderful place for kids to be introduced to martial arts! Mr. Bennet flawlessly mixes fun and discipline! Kids not only stay interested, but are motivated to work to be their best selves! The facility is clean and well kept, and the fee is a reasonable, no contract deal. My daughter had a fabulous experience here, and when the sport season is over we will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend Mr Bennet and his studio!

Mr. Bennett lives up to his word as a fabulous instructor. He's amazing, patient and very comical. My boys have learned so much about themselves in the time since starting. He not only teaches them Taekwondo but also how to self respect yourself and others, as well as behaving at home and at school. I wouldn't recommend any other instructor than him.

My son started when he was 6 and I love that parents get a month free trail. Mr. Bennett makes learning fun while also keeping the kids accountable. His attention to detail in how he is teaching the kids ensures they are getting quality training. Mr. Bennett was also entered in the Martail Arts Hall of Fame recently which makes me feel super proud to have him as my sons teacher. His skills are spot on and so is his sense of humor.

My 9-year old son has been going to Hi-Yah! for about 2 years now. I must say, Mr. Bennett is an amazing instructor for the kids and he's developed a team of assistants who follow his lead. He's very patient but very firm with his students. It's obvious that he loves teaching TKD and you can see his excitement when the kids do well. When they don't, well, he's not giving them a trophy just for showing up which I appreciate.
