I have been a customer of Reichardt Cleaners for at least 20 years. It was sold several years ago. After the sale I would say they were just OK.
Well! Today was my last time walking through their doors.
I came in to pick up my cleaning. When I dropped it off last week, I was concerned because the woman did not put a tag on my items to identify they were mine.
The same thing happened today. I had a decorative pillow cover that I dropped off for cleaning. She left it on the counter and did not tag it. She walked over to take care of 2 customers that came in the door, after me.
I waited patiently

So disappointed in the deterioration in the quality of service. Been bringing clothes her for more than 10 years. Lately receiving clothing that is not mine mixed in with my orders. Orders repeatedly not ready when I come to pick up even if it is DAYS after they are supposed to be ready. Several articles of clothing missing. Lost belts from dresses etc. if they get all your clothes back to you they will be well done but it's a big "if" that you will get everything back correctly.

I have been customer for many years but, not any more. Now, many times need re do , bad job cleaning , ironing or pressing and more important , damage items. Many-times, owner could not find items and taking three weeks to finish . I had it enough with them. Watch your cloths when picking up for ripped buttons or buttons holes and wrinkle shirt

I wish I had read the reviews before bringing my son's shirt and tie for homecoming here as a new customer. When I dropped the shirt and tie off on Wednesday, they promised it would be ready by Friday 5 pm. I arrived at Friday 6 pm and they could not find my son's shirt. I thought I saw his shirt hanging on a rack to the side and inquired about it, but they just brushed me off and said that was not his shirt. I was then told that the owner would call me, which he did that evening. He did say the shirt was at their other Lombard facility and that it would be ready the next morning

This place is a disgrace to dry cleaners. They told me they do bulk orders of dry cleaning for 3 dollars a pound. I told them out of the entire basket of laundry and that only 1 suit was to be specially prepared. This scumbag con artist dry cleaner had the nerve and audacity to charge me $155 dollars for all my dry cleaning even though they told me it’s 3 dollars a pound. I just got jipped over 100 dollars for false advertising. DO NOT go to this place if you have bulk orders or clothes... this place is recycled trash & should be closed for good. Do not use this dry cleaners. I have never been to a place with such disregard for customer service, nor have I ever had any issues with the dress I had asked them to press. I would give Reichardt 0 or negative stars if I could, and it is the first and last time I would ever go to them.

This lady was very unprofessional in the way that she handled the situation that occurred in her business. I took a dressing to get cleaned had a little stain. Frankly the stain was just a dot and I wasn't even worried too much about it. She simply told me that she'd tried to get the stain out, fine totally reasonable. However she failed to tell me it could make it worse by trying. Extreme neglect on her end. This dress is a $700 dress definitely don't take anything you care about to this place. Want to add stress to your next special event or holiday? Drop your clothes off with these guys. I dropped off a sports jacket, slacks and a dress shirt, and when I came back after the promised time on NYE 2016 only my sports jacket and slacks were there. We are from out of town, so I had no other options.
Crazy enough they didn't even fully refund the service. They offered to drop off the shirt by 5pm, but we had dinner reservations in Wrigleyville at 6pm. You'd be better off trying the place across the street.

I brought in my expensive pants to have light stain removed. A lady working there at the time took my pants. When I went to pick up the pants, the guy who I assume to be the owner appeared very unapproachable and unhappy. He never said hello, thank you or bye. By far one of the fairest and most professional cleaners I've been to. I have had some alterations done there and when told it would be done after 3 or 4 days minimum, I got a call saying it was done. I was thrilled because I really needed the items for a business trip. The staff are so nice too, which hasn't been my experience with many cleaners lately. This will be my regular cleaners now!

Hate giving bad reviews but for your sake, avoid this place. I had several suits come back in rough condition, they look as if they were just thrown around. They felt different than usual and my shirts still had wrinkles in them. I also paid for next day pick up and I was told they weren't done and I couldn't get them for "another day or so"... It took 2 more days and they refused to give me a refund. For the sake of your items and time, avoid going here.

I'd give zero stars if I could. They ruined my $230 coat, broke the buckle, and that's the good part. The woman working there actually called me of her own accord to yell at me about the difference of 2 dollars. The owner also flew off the handle when I told him that I wanted my $15 back because they ruined my coat. He said no and that "people want free, free, free." He screamed at me, said that I bought a cheap coat and that he fixed and made it better than it was. When Mr. Reichardt owned this cleaners it was a reputable business. The people who own it now are rude and take no responsibility for ruining 2 shirts of my husband's. I gave them a chance because they are close, but I will not do business at a place that takes no responsibility for their actions. If you have nice clothes, do not bring them here.

I have been a customer for about a year. Little mistakes have been made along the way that I just dismissed thinking it was a one time thing. But lately, I have had major issues with them. I recently got married and wanted to get my wedding dress preserved. I paid $100 to have them do this and they told me it would be ready in about a month. Well the time came for it to be ready and it wasn't. I came back at least 2 times and it still was not ready. My husband complained and they said they would drop it off at our house.
