My approach to therapy is very client centered. I truly believe that a strong foundation begins with you, my job is to help you find the tools to build it. A therapist is a trained person who is there to listen to you and offer suggestions when you have run out of them.

Services
I began down the path of counseling in January of 2012 as a graduate student of marriage, family, and child therapy at University of Phoenix Southern Colorado Campus. My goal as a therapist is to help people and their families see and believe in the true self each person has. When the true self can be seen, it can be accepted.
During your initial free 30 minute phone consultation, we will go over your paperwork, talk about your current goals and find the ways we can address your problems together. I can not prescribe medication, so your treatment will be medication free unless a referral for it is necessary. I truly believe that a strong foundation begins with you, my job is to help you find the tools to build it.
Everyone needs someone to talk to sometime in their life; someone who is unbiased and a good listener. Someone who is non-judgmental and is ready to help you with life decisions and give you support. Individual counseling can help you develop coping skills to deal with feelings like anger and depression.
It is never easy for a parent when a child is hurting. A parent can find it difficult to say their child needs help and there is nothing the parent can do. It can cause any number of negative feelings for both the parent and the child. To admit your child may need 'professional help' can be a frightening thought for a parent.
For several years I have worked with the LGBTQ community. I co-facilitate the BRIDGE (Building Real Identity and Discovering Gender Expressions) support group and support PAGE (Peak Area Gender Expressions). Also, I present several times a year at different symposiums and venues and am a WPATH member.
