While hardwood floors are very durable and retain their beauty for many years, it is sometimes necessary to refinish the floors to bring them back to their original condition. The refinishing process consists of removing old finish and stain, fixing imperfections that have occurred in the wood, staining and finally applying a finishing coats.
Endurance - How much traffic does the area get? Kitchen, family room and hallways generally get a lot more traffic than other areas of your home and may require a flooring choice that is more durable. You should also consider how children and pets may influence your choices. Livability - Do you want a soft, warm carpet, vinyl or cork floor underfoot or would you prefer the look of a hard surface floor such as hardwood, laminate or ceramic tile?.
Do use doormats at the entrance to your home in order to help keep dirt and grime off the wood floors. Use area rugs or small sections of carpet placed inside doorways and in areas like kitchens where spills are likely to occur. Don't use throw rugs with rubber or vinyl backing without checking to determine if they will affect your floor's finish.

Outstanding. Marcin came to the house right away and gave us an estimate. Once the insurance company paid the damage claim, we got scheduled in a week and work started right on time. He had the right sized crew of four who were able to get everything done from moving big furniture around, stripping the old flooring out and installing the new hardwood floor. The floor is beautiful and perfectly installed. They had taken photos of each room so they knew exactly where to put everything back. They finished up by giving the whole floor a good cleaning up. We hope we never need another floor replacement

This business has a profile that clearly states they serve the District of Columbia and surrounding areas. I called and I was very quickly told that they DO NOT serve the District...only Virginia and Maryland!!

Marcin and his crew did an excellent job turning the old and ugly oak floors in our newly purchased home into a beautiful greyish-brown. The price was fair and communcation good throughout the process. Obviously, I cannot yet say anything about the longevity of their work. He noted that my kitchen floor was higher than there rest of my condo because there were 4 layers of old flooring that previous owners simply kept in place. He gave me the idea that they could take that all away, giving me a level floor, without the need for a transition area, and give me the engineered wood to match the rest.

I could not be happier..The installers are very professional and extremely considerate of your property... the price was phenomenal for all the hard work and long days. Craftsmanship, attention to detail and artistry are amazing with Magni Flooring. I couldn't be more pleased with the hardwood floors they put in place of carpet at our new home. They showed up on time
each day and were great with communication. They removed carpet from the stairs and entire upper level of our home replacing it with bamboo flooring. Marcin and his team are thoroughly professional, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our original floors, 1930s era, were pretty dull, with plenty of scratches and blemishes. But now they're just gorgeous! They showed up on time, and everything was done in just a few days. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing job, they quoted me a fair price that was within my budget. For perspective, others quoted me between 6k and 8k, and I knew they were over charging. However, when these guys came they were respectful, and provided a fair and honest estimate!
As for the work, they worked fast, they cleaned up afterwords, and the end product was flawless. Would defiantly use them again.

They were very responsive and came to the estimate prepared with samples and a quote before walking out the door. We were able to get our flooring done the next week. Project took a little longer than expected but that was due to the floors in our old house being uneven. The workers were incredibly professional and friendly and explained every issue they ran into thoroughly. The floors look amazing! We will definitely hire them again for our basement floors.

Magni came in and did my small Arlington kitchen and dining room floor while I was away on holiday. Getting the estimate and scheduling the work was super easy, and I was thrilled when I got back and saw the results. I didn't do much price shopping so can't really comment on that part. I agree with Jason's review. I would give Magni a 6-star rating if I could. From the very beginning, they were professional and reliable. And their work was stellar. We were particularly impressed with the crew's attention to detail. Our floor is old and our space is quirky, and Magni was still able to make everything look great.

Marcin and his team are absolute PROs. We were listing our house to sell in a week, and the floor was the final project. Our trusted contractor (who has refinished wood floors for us before) ran into difficulty sanding our engineered wood floors, leaving burnt black scuff marks! We already had a large faded area and many scratches, some quite deep. I was terrified I was going to have to replace the entire floor, and the photographer was scheduled to shoot in 4 days!

Marcin and his team were amazing! First off, he was very responsive. Quick to come to our house with an instant quote. From there, he was never pushy throughout the process. Weeks later, my husband and I bit the bullet and went with getting hardwood floors and we are so glad we did!
