Services
At the Children's Dentistry, we take great pride at getting involved with community programs and building community partnerships. We understand that our families live, work and play here; and that makes it vital for our participation to help ensure that the Lakes Region, White Mountains and North Country qualities of life are healthy and fun.
As the only infant to adolescent focused dental practice in the Lakes Region, Dr. Melissa Kennell, General Dentist, Dr. Matthew Smith, Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, and Dr. Timothy Smith believe seeing the dentist can be a fun and positive experience. At Children's Dentistry you and your child are greeted with a warm and comfortable atmosphere that lasts throughout your visit, which helps reduce any anxiety your child may have.
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
For more information concerning pediatric dentistry, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.
Each month we are pleased to select a patient that comes into the office and receives a report of NO CAVITIES! To celebrate this success and hard work we award the winner with an official NO CAVITY CLUB certificate and a prize to suit their interests. Great oral hygiene takes a lot of work and we are excited each month to award a child for their great effort.

Children's dentistry is a bunch of high class people who do not care about lower class they will hire you and if you ask them to do something politely they'll fire you or they'll fire you for having chipped fingernails even if you're better than what they've already got there I will not recommend them to anybody if you're looking for employmenthey're looking for employment the rude and inconsiderate and don't care

My son has pretty significant anxiety on several levels. He has been going to Children’s Dentistry for a around two and a half years. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful they are and have been in working with him. Their offices are always fantastic, everyone is so friendly, supportive, and understanding, and most importantly, my son feels safe while he is receiving care. There is no other dentist like Children’s Dentistry, anywhere. I’m so thankful to be able to take my son to see them. It’s truly an entirely different experience than any other dentist out there. Thank you so much for

We were sent to this office as a referral for our son. He would not open his mouth for our family dentist to get a tooth fixed.
From the moment we walked in, the staff was amazing! Everyone made my son feel very comfortable. We look forward to being new patients for his cleaning now.
The office is very clean and inviting. I love the decorations.

My family was referred to Children's Dentistry of the Lakes Region after a bad experience at another pediatric dentist; I am so glad we found this office. Their staff have been incredibly kind and understanding and were able to help my anxious kid through a tooth extraction. I am incredibly impressed and thankful.

Absolute worst customer service ever. So poorly managed. Being treated differently (poorly) based on the type of insurance you have (Medicaid vs. Delta Dental for example, or self-pay). Scheduling appointments at the office just to find out they were never actually scheduled. Waiting over 30 minutes past the scheduled time of an appointment. Refusing parents in the building to allow their children to use the bathroom, and not ever answering the phone.. just to name a few.

Everyone here goes above and beyond to make the kids feel safe and happy. My two girls went in for the first time and the hygienists were so friendly! They let them look at the tools that would be used and explained them in a way that a 3 and 4 year old understood. They made games out of cleaning their teeth so they were engaged the entire time. Everyone has such a happy demeanor and they all know awesome ways to make kids feel right at home. I would recommend Children’s Dentistry to anyone looking for a great experience for their kids!

We have been here every 6 months since my son's first birthday(he will be 3 at the end of this month). The staff is nothing short of incredible. They make my son feel so comfortable that he was actually extremely excited to have his visit today(like skipping and wanting to run in kind of excited). The atmosphere is super kid friendly and the waiting room is a ton of fun. I have recommended this place to many mom friends and will continue to do so!
