Dr. Willis grew up in Lancaster, California. He attended OHSU Dental School and has been practicing dentistry here in Salem since 2000. Dr. Willis enjoys providing all aspects of dentistry for his patients.

Catherine is our Insurance /Treatment Coordinator and Accounts Manager here at Willis Dental. Her dental career began when she received her certificate in dental assisting from Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, Illinois in 1981. Catherine is an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) and has experience in working in orthodontics and general dentistry.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed Friday. Dr. Nelson and his assistant were incredibly gentle and made me as comfortable as they possibly could for what was a rather difficult procedure. (my wisdom teeth did not want to come out and it was a about a 3 hour ordeal lol). I could not be happier with them, especially due to the circumstances.
Dr. Nelson is great and I highly recommended Willis Dental. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. It’s such a relief to finally have a great dental office to go to.

I had an excellent experience at Willis dental yesterday. I know, at a dentist? But seriously, the staff was friendly, courteous, and competent, and I did not have to wait in the lounge at all. Dr. Willis himself was very friendly and upbeat and promptly performed a minor repair of a tooth I had been neglecting. He also corrected an annoying issue on a tooth/gum line that had become sensitive. I am grateful for receiving professional dentistry at a very reasonable price.

Absolutely love this Dentistry & the all the staff there! They are all so courteous & make you feel so comfortable, they genuinely care about your smile!! Super nice facility, very sterile. I’ve been going to Ally for my teeth cleanings for years now, she is the best & I adore her. I used to be a pt at State Street Dental & it received awful care so I appreciate my new Dr for being genuine.

I went in to Willis dental because I had broken one of my wisdom teeth and I needed to have it pulled. I’ve avoided dental work like the plague because of anxiety but Dr Willis was incredibly patient with me. He made pulling my wisdom teeth a painless and less stressful process. Through the procedure he checked in with me to make sure I was okay… and wasn’t frustrated by my fidgeting at all. I can’t erase my dental anxiety but I can say that after my experience with this office, I will feel a lot better communicating my needs and staying on top of oral health.

My family loves coming to see Dr. Willis & staff. I get anxiety with needles. They have been patient and understanding. No pain what so ever. I was amazed how fast it was to get my wisdom teeth out. I also met Dr.Nelson his hilarious and explained everything very well. The new office is just gorgeous
