Hiring an experienced attorney always has its benefits -- experience with the court system, knowledge of plea bargain details, the ability to navigate complex administration procedures, and help prevent loss of driving privileges. It's especially important if you have been charged with a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI/DUI).

An experienced DWI attorney may offer advice or counsel that could affect the severity of your sentence. Also keep in mind that if your BAC was between.08 and.11 (and there may be some question as to whether the reading was accurate) conviction is less of a certainty and a DWI attorney may be able to better plea bargain your case.
Services
Certified in the administration and interpretation of Field Sobriety Testing by the National Highway Safety Transportation Administration. Attorney Patrick McLaughlin graduated from the University of Toledo School of Law in 1993. While attending University of Toledo, Mr. McLaughlin interned in the public defender's office in Toledo Municipal Court, handling criminal, vehicle and traffic cases.
The reciprocity agreement amongst the Canadian Provinces and New York was implemented for the purpose of exchanging traffic violation records.

Under the term of the agreement, each Canadian Province and New York State agreed to notify the home jurisdiction of the driver's offense, expecting the home Province to take action with respect to DWI's / DUI's, unpaid traffic tickets, suspensions etc. Infractions committed by the driver would result in the application of demerit points in the driver's home Province's driving record.
Driving While Ability Impaired by a Combined Influence of Drugs or Alcohol (DWAI/Combination). Chemical Test Refusal: A driver who refuses to take a chemical test (normally a test of breath, blood or urine). A Commercial Driver (License Class A, B, or C) is held to stricter Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) standards, and faces tougher penalties, while operating a commercial vehicle that requires a CDL license.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, roughly half of all boating fatalities involve alcohol. Just like driving a car under the influence of drugs or alcohol, it is illegal to operate a boat under the influence of drugs or alcohol in New York State. An operator with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher is considered legally intoxicated.
In New York State, law enforcement agencies are cracking down on motorcyclists who ride under the infuence of drugs or alcohol. According to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, a motorcyclist who chooses to drink and ride is more likely to be involved in a fatal drunk driving incident; "alcohol is a major contributor to motorcycle crashes, particularly fatal [ones]."

Pat handled a speeding ticket for me....he was able to get me the plea that i wanted. He was on top of this issue from start to finish. He will be my go to guy from now on. Dont believe any of these people on here that write poor reviews. All of them are just people with an axe to grind abd come here to try and hurt an honest good man...Pat is the best. Real simple....

His confidence and charisma will certainly make you feel better. He reduced two of my speeding tickets and came out with no points. Very reasonable price for the quality of work. Patrick should be your first choice especially if you're a college student.

He helped me with a traffic matter. His price is unbeatable (extremely reasonable)!
Only improvement would be a little more communication regarding the process. I've never had a traffic violations and didn't hear from him for over 2 months and when I asked for an update I was informed they don't give one until a decision by the court has been made.
Which is fine, if I knew it would take that long and not to expect any news, but I didn't so I was anxious the whole time.
Even an email stating he contacted the court and is just waiting and that I'd hear back when the decision was made, would have

Mr. McLaughlin is a great attorney. Both he and his staff are extremely professional and committed. I had a recent cell phone ticket that he was able to successfully plea down. Couldn't ask for a better service, completely worth the expense.
