The South Dakota REALTORS conducts an active legislative program during the South Dakota Legislative Session, including weekly legislative briefs, which track bills affecting the real estate industry, updated each Friday during session.

The SD REALTORS Foundation is organized exclusively for Charitable and Educational purposes. The SDR Foundation consists of 8 board members from various local associations in the state. Each member of the Foundation Board of Directors serves a five-year term and is appointed the SDR President.
The SDR Foundation got its start in the early 1980's, when a group of active real estate brokers saw the need to establish a tax exempt entity to provide an excellent vehicle for REALTORS and friends of the real estate industry, through tax deductible contributions, to support a variety of worthy goals.The fund was started with a fundraising drive.
