Services
At times you don't feel like yourself, and it's affecting your sleep, your health, and your peace of mind. You hope and pray that your stress issues will lighten up. But, unfortunately, nothing changes on its own. You are not alone. With each counseling conversation, you will be able to better understand what works and what doesn't work, eliminate the negative thought pattern that gets you stuck, and find strategies to resolve your problems.
With adult counseling therapy offered by the Women's Therapy Institute, you can feel calmer and more confident while connecting with other people easier and more harmoniously. If you have been feeling anxious and depressed, we can help you by providing the best adult therapy solutions. We understand that dealing with your concerns and issues may be undermining your health and happiness.
We work with teen girls as young as 12 years old. Typically the last thing teens want is to see a therapist and can get impatient if they have to see a few therapists before finding the "right one". It's extremely important to find a therapist who has experience working with teens and understand their language.
Imagine a place where people understand you because they have gone through similar things themselves. Imagine a place where the vibe of unconditional acceptance is so powerful that it's healing. For many people, group therapy can be very transformative because groups can pull us out of isolation and into belonging.
Aside from working with those who identified as women, we also have a provide resiliency training to those who are serving in the military through our Leaders 360 program. A resilient leader is a person who sees adversity as temporary setbacks that they can recover and learn from. Resiliency Training cultivates a positive yet realistic mindset with a strong sense of opportunity in times of turbulence.

I found Mabel by chance a couple of years ago when I was not in a great place. I had tried out several therapists, but formed an instant connection with Mabel. She is warm, personable, empathetic, and compassionate. I remember hoping on a consultation call with her to let her know about my situation, filling in a form online about my background (other therapists take at least 1-2 sessions to get this which I feel is a waste of time/ not very efficient), and by the time we had our first session, she already knew a ton about me!
Mabel is practical and relatable, and I place a lot of trust in her

It’s hard to find a decent therapist. Many therapistS don’t even call you back. This place is pretty responsive. I started therapy here about a month ago. The first therapist didn’t work well for me. She was nice, warm, and very helpful, but I wanted someone closer to my age. And I’m glad that they have someone who I can work well with. All of the therapists I work with here are very good, but not therapist Will fit you. If your first therapist doesn’t work well for you, don’t hesitate to ask for a different one.

I am not new to therapy. I have had different therapists since college. Years of therapy doesn't compare to a few months here with the right therapist. This place is great. Their website has a widget that tells me what mental health coverage I have. Unlike other therapists, they are super responsive. My therapist is nothing but awesome. She helped grow to be the person I want to be. I have my flaws and my therapist kindly call out my bs and work with me in seeing my pattern, make healthy decisions, and set firm boundaries. I am less anxious and happier now because of this. Highly recommend.

I had tried therapy before, but I didn't really click with my previous therapist. The Women's Therapy Institute has really helped me to dive deeper in the root causes of lingering issues, navigate a time a recent time in my life of major changes, and most of all move towards healing.
Although there is still work to be done, The Women's Therapy Institute has brought me a lot of peace that I don't think I've ever really felt before and I am eternally grateful.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of this fantastic practice and was so excited and impressed with her practice that I was inspired to write a review. I am a therapist myself who works with teens. I often talk with other professionals to find referral sources for patients that aren't right for my practice. Having a practice that focuses on Women is much needed in the bay area. I work with mom's who are so busy taking care of their teens that they forget to take care of themselves. I am grateful to find a great place to refer them to so that someone can care for them the way they care for

I love this counselor center for women. The therapists are kind, smart and effective at helping women like me past our over-analyzing, excessive worry, and managing stress. You will love your counseling here. From the moment you walk in, you will feel welcome and like you've 'come home.' Don't let wonky thinking - or feelings that aren't serving you - make life a struggle. Call the therapists at Women's Therapy Institute and start finding the joy again. As a therapist myself, I highly recommend them.

Mabel is a warm, empathetic and experienced therapist. I was very reluctant to start therapy because of my own skepticism and irrational fears. But once I did start therapy with Mabel I have seen myself grow as a person and how it has positively effected my life. I feel it's difficult for anyone to trust and open up and feel safe even to a therapist. She has provided me a safe safe space to open up about what I have been going through and I was able to trust her with my thoughts immensely. I have regularly attended therapy with Mabel for 8-9 months in total and I know that it has changed my life

Mabel is a fabulous and versatile therapist for women, girls, and couples. She put me at ease right away with a friendly and welcoming attitude. But what I most appreciated about the time I spent with Mabel was the bold and creative way that she works. I think it makes her stand out among other therapists and certainly helps bring about change.

Mabel is an amazing couples therapist. She is so warm, skilled and smart! I really like her energy and how engaged she is during the session. Her theories on relationships are really practical - also her experience really shows in her work. She often talks about the "couple bubble" and different ways we can feel secure in our relationship. I've learned a lot from her and appreciate her engaged, direct and helpful approach.
