KDCCC has reopened after closing during the Governor's Stay Home/Stay Safe Order in March. The Kalamazoo Drop-In Child Care Center (KDCCC), established in 1990, provides free, part-time child care for income eligible families with children ages six weeks through five years old.
The objective of our service is to enable parents with young children to more rapidly negotiate the maze of appointments and services often required to obtain employment, permanent housing, register for school or attend classes, and attain eventual self-sufficiency.We also give parents a "healthy" break from the demands of parenting.

Services
KDCCC's Mission is to provide income eligible families with children ages 0-5 years, free, part-time, educationally rich child care, parent education, and support. KDCCC's Vision is to empower families by providing high quality child care and foster a learning community supporting success through the following:.
Kathy brings a wealth of early childhood experience to the Center. She has been a Center Director for 30+ years, with almost 25 of those years spent here at KDCCC. Heidi has a Bachelor Degree in Social Work from WMU. As the Assistant Director and Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher, she has been an integral part of KDCCC for over 22 years.
The Kalamazoo Drop-In Child Care Center (KDCCC) provides free part-time child care for income eligible families. Families need to qualify for WIC or Medicaid in order to qualify for our service. Once the children are registered, they may attend up to six times each month. Parents may reserve a child care slot up to two weeks in advance.
Each day, KDCCC utilizes Volunteers from all walks of life to work with our children alongside our experienced KDCCC Staff. Volunteers will learn effective parenting skills, basic child development, and appropriate ways to interact with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. They also experience the joy of caring for a fun and diverse group of children.
KDCCC is funded through the generosity of First Congregational Church UCC, foundations and grants, United Way, various Kalamazoo area churches and businesses, and many individual donors in our community. KDCCC is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization; gifts to KDCCC are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Excellent service. Ms. Heidy. Ms. April and team doing amazing job.
I have put my son here more than one year. We still love this place. Some of the people have doubt about free service. If you have any doubt, forget it for KDCCC. You don't need to worry about it. They are highly responsible about all the kids.
