We are very fortunate to have built such a quality team. You'll notice the difference on your first visit! Denise was born in Anchorage, Alaska and moved to Florida in 1998.
John L. Redd II, DMD, has dedicated over 27 years to providing families in our community with quality dental care for a lifetime of healthy, beautiful smiles! Dr. Redd believes that pursuing the latest dental innovations is the key to optimum oral health and lasting results for his patients. He is passionate about using new technology to improve the comfort and quality of dentistry for you and your family.
We understand that dental emergencies can be inconvenient and by nature need attention as soon as possible. Our practice is designed in a way that allows for new patient emergencies to be seen as soon as possible, almost always the same day. While we encourage our emergency patients to join our regular care program, you are not required to do so in order to take advantage of our short-notice appointments.
At Tampa Smiles, our first goal, from the moment you walk in the door, is to earn a feeling of trust. We believe the absolute best dentistry we can provide will only take place when there is a strong bond of trust with our patients, and we're all working together toward the common goals of healthy teeth and gums and a beautiful smile.
But now, that's all changed. Dr. Redd can reduce that two-week waiting period and the two or three office visits to just a single visit with new technology! This new technology is called CEREC, a computer-aided design and milling device. CEREC allows us to create a permanent crown in just a few minutes.

What a delight! If you never thought you'd say that about trip to the dentist, then you haven't see Dr Redd. He carefully explains, is gentle, and does expert repairs. His staff is also attentive and efficient with a welcome sense of humor. I have been very pleased with the fit and color of my crowns and fillings. My bite has never been more precise. Highly recommended.

Dr Redd was very good however his office manager was not. When I went in for a chipped tooth I was told I needed a crown. When I asked if they took my insurance as an In-Network provider she said yes. She then gave me a quote whereby I had to pay approximately $1,600 and my insurance would pay about $600. About a month after my procedure was done they sent me a bill for another $265. When I called to inquire about it she said my insurance didn't pay the amount she quoted me. When I asked didn't she call them before the procedure to get what they would pay she indicated no. She stated

Dr. Redd and his team are lifesavers for my family again today. This is the second time they've seemingly dropped everything to fix a chipped tooth for us within a day's notice. Finding new Doctors is very hard. Moved here a year ago and found a dentist that really exemplify professionalism and very knowledgable about your dental needs. I was here a few months ago to have my dental needs check and was given a plan for my food trap problem. Now, I am back for the tooth replacement and it only takes one visit. Dr Redd is very welcoming and showed me how my tooth will be replaced. All the staff are polite and professional and very friendly from the moment I made the first call. Dr. Redd, Tania, Denise and the rest of his team are real professionals, can't recommend highly enough. I think they may have set a world record for fixing a cavity today. I was 7 minutes late to start with and in a huge hurry , they sat me right down and had my cavity fixed and I was leaving in exactly 19 minutes! I have waited for longer than that to even been seen at other dentists.
As a patient you get the sense Dr. Redd is really concerned about the health of your teeth, and you can tell his employees really enjoy their jobs. Thanks!!

Let me start this review by stating I believe Dr Redd is a good dentist and I love his hygienist but I extremely dislike his sale pitches and trying to upsell me and my husband on the most expensive procedure every visit. Dr Redd seems to care more about profit than patient care. I would recommend re-evaluating how you treat patients and enough with the personal texts and free ipads....trying to buy patient referrals is illegal in Florida for any medical procedure if your lawyer has not told you.

I have had many dentists throughout my adult life and this is by far the best! The hygienist I see is extremely friendly and gentle. I hate going to the dentist and this office has made me feel completely comfortable and has wiped away any anxiety I have felt in the past. The customer service is outstanding! Dr. Redd goes out of his way to text message me on my birthday and has offered me tickets to my favorite football team's games when he has extra ticket. I love that I only come here twice a year but each time I come in they know my name and remember personal things about my life and family

For a partial crown I got charged $1200+!! I was told they would take my insurance, but at the moment they are not part of any IN network insurance program. After paying my share of the cost, I was stuck paying for an additional $800+ because my insurance company would not pay for it. They keep sending me emails and letters regularly to refer people to them to other people and enter into drawings to win a free iPad.

I have been seeing Doctor Redd for years, and I can only rave about him and his staff. In addition to being excellent at what they do, I have never been to a doctor that is more caring about his patients. I first went to him because he was close to my job but now that I don't work there any more, he is no longer that conveniently located for me, but I would never switch dentists.
