Lighthouse Reef Atoll is the most remote of the three offshore atolls in Belize and is still the most untouched, with less than a handful of businesses geared towards diving visitors. Huracan Diving is the only dive operation in the Atoll.
Pristine Sponge, fan and coral formations on the dramatic walls begin at a shallow 35 feet, and Long Caye is the perfect base to discover them being the only inhabited caye of the six making up the Atoll landmasses.From the very northernmost end of the Atoll, Sandbore Caye is one of the two cayes boasting lighthouses, the one at Sandbore having been established in 1904.

Come play and explore our island! Long Caye borders the southwestern side of Lighthouse Reef Atoll - Huracan Diving Lodge is surrounded by littoral forest that extends over 2 miles south of the lodge. The Caye is 3/4 miles at its widest point and approximately 650 acres. Long Caye's protected lagoons and mangroves provide habitat for an abundance of tropical wildlife, such as breeding fish, rare birds, sea turtles and iguanas to name a few.
BOAT DEPARTURE TIME FROM BELIZE CITY TO THE ISLAND IS 2-2.30pm depending on all guests arrival. Please meet us at the "RAMADA PRINCESS HOTEL MARINA" by 1.30pm and if possible no later than 2pm. In case of any flight delay, the very latest the boat can wait is 4pm due to daylight and length of transfer time.

This location is a remote dive resort located on Lighthouse Reef/Long Caye. The resort is located on the island approximately 2 hours by boat from Belize City. The company provides options for airport pickup and accommodations for city tours if you have time during your arrival or departure. Please understand this is an Eco-lodge resort run by generator and solar power with limited amenities. The true luxury is the spectacular diving locals ~15 minutes or less by boat, superb food *****, professional and dedicated staff.

We are so happy to spent part of our vacations here, was amazing, we really enjoyed everything.
David and Dany cook really well they serve perfect portions, delicious food, balance flavors and the plates are very various and professional!
The wooden cabin where we stayed at was confortable.
The dive masters and the Captain from the boat Eric, Rodney and Jose were very experienced they help you and try to find the best spot to dive!
They definitely love what they do and they take care of you during the diving.
We love this place and we will come back as soon we can.

Spent 5 weeks diving in San Pedro before coming taking the full day tour to the Blue hole. Upon diving half moon wall and long key wall, I knew that this was the best diving in Belize and I did my research before deciding on Huracan.
I had a great time, and the diving was phenomenal. They do a great job with scheduling, balancing everyone's wishes, and the drift diving is much much more fun than doing anchor dives.
Erick and Julio are great dive masters, Jose is a great captain and manager, Danny and David provide great food, and the lodge is always clean and cozy. I look forward to coming back

I did A LOT of research before traveling to Belize and choosing Huracan. I considered aspects of covid, the reviews, the reef conditions... everything. As it relates to covid, Huracan is on BZEs list of gold standard cleanliness so it’s an approved place to stay... also you’re on a remote island in the middle of the ocean so very unlikely to get any kind of sickness . The staff wore masks and took our temperatures every day. We felt very comfortable at the lodge.

In short you should definitely stay here.
1. Amazing diving.
2. Great staff. Knowledgable about the reef, sea life, AND safe diving practices.
3. LOCATION. You will not get any closer to the BLUE HOLE than this dive resort.
4. Food. Chef Shannon is a culinary artist. I hate ginger. He made me love ginger...he's that good.
5. Eco-lodge. Environmentally conscious, they use solar power and collect rain water. This means no hair dryers (which honestly, why are you blow drying your hair, it's just gonna get wet again). Most cold showers. I love hot showers and I thought this would bother me. Turns

Where do I begin? Shannon, Ms. Paulina, Luis, Hilarario, Carlos, Danny. Our stay was perfect. And why? Because of the staff. The food is top notch and if your special enough to get the fish head soup you're in for a treat. The sushi is amazing. Shannon and Ms. Paulina made sure I had plenty of tasty gluten free options. Luis where do I begin? Diving and more importantly fishing with him was wonderful. Such a pleasant man and very knowledgeable. Don't miss out on a chance to beat Hilario at chess. 😂Bring a game to play. We brought phase ten card game to play between dives. The staff played with
