Services
When it comes to your mental health, the most important step you can take is reaching out to a therapist. Just by coming to my website, you've already taken that important step. As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), I'm here to help you work through whatever emotional, behavioral, or psychological issue you're struggling with.
Many of us enter therapy hoping to get some quick relief from the distress that we are experiencing. We are aware that therapy is costing us a lot in terms of time, money, and energy and we want to see some immediate results, especially when we are in pain. It is important that you talk with me about your expectations and needs from therapy.
Have you ever felt butterflies in your stomach? What about an upset stomach while nervous or a gut in your chest feeling when scared? There is no denying the fact that our brain is directly connected via neural pathways to our gut. And new research from UCLA, Harvard, etc. have dubbed a new term Psychobiotics to illustrate how probiotics affect our mood.
Being part of a couple takes work, whether you're married, engaged, or in a committed relationship. You may be able to get through a lot of life's stressors and issues as a team, but others can cause strain and damage to your relationship. When that happens, couples counseling is a way to help you successfully work through any issues and rebuild your connection.
A recent New York Times article indicated that, on average, a couple seeks marriage counseling after the relationship is in trouble for six years. Imagine you have a broken leg and you don't attend to it by seeing a physician for six years. Now consider another recent study that found that two-thirds of divorcing couples never even seek therapy before calling it quits.

After 35 years of marriage my wife and I have benefited greatly from Marina's training and skill has an insightful marriage counselor.
She has given us many helpful tools
to use when navigating what can sometimes be the rocky road of marriage. With her guidance we survived Covid-19, home 24-7, and look forward to another 35 years of bliss. Thank you Marina!!

Marina takes her job seriously. Doing what's best for her clients and their families. She is smart, intuitive and it doesn't take her much time to figure out the what needs to be addressed. She is a wise decision for families, couples and singles on every level. She has skill that takes you out of the ordinary session and takes you into coaching real family issues without judgement. Highly recommend her!

I don't even know where to begin but I'll keep it short and sweet. I've been to multiple therapists periodically in my life and Marina stands out by far as the best I've ever had. She listens, challenges my perspective and best of all I feel almost cleansed after our sessions. She keeps my head on straight and always helps me take action and make the best decisions. Been seeing her on and off for over four years and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Marina is a compassionate, kind, and knowledgeable professional who, over the last two years, has helped me navigate depression, anxiety, and communication challenges. In our sessions, I feel free to voice my problems, but more importantly, she focuses our time on providing practical solutions for moving forward and making real improvements to my quality of life. She is straight-forward and honest with her feedback, and her sense of humor has helped me navigate very difficult conversations. She often presents research to back her views, though not in an overwhelming way. I find her knowledge of

My husband and I have been married 4 years and came to see Marina during a pretty difficult time in our marriage. I'm a sad to admit that Marina was sort of our last resort. From the first appointment with Marina, I could tell she was like no therapist I'd ever met before. She's very different in so many ways. The first appointment we had, I walked away feeling hopeful for the first time in months. Marina doesn't just want to hear us just talk to talk. Marina guides the session so that you get the most out of every session, never feeling like the session was out of control or

I would give her ten stars if I could. Marina helped me get through an extremely difficult time in my life. She is thoughtful, compassionate and she challenges you to find your own answers. She is also invested, which is a rare thing to find. I'm so thankful for having worked with her. You will be too.

Marina is the real deal. Back in summer of 2016 I was a working mom of two sons and my whole life stopped. I started having severe panic attacks and anxiety. It got so bad I could no longer work or drive. It was a devastating time. I didn't want to just jump on medications so I looked for an experienced therapist. After meeting with other therapists and psychiatrists - I called Marina. My first phone call with her I could tell she was different from the rest. She instantly made me feel calm and that I can overcome this. She listened to me. Those first few sessions were life saving. Marina

I have tried therapy many times over the years with guarded results. With Marina it is different. She has helped me in so many ways and I am in a much better place because of her help. If you see her be prepared for honest and deeply intuitive discussions. If you are ready to heal, Marina is the therapist to see. Her space is comfortable and safe

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. Marina has been my clinical supervisor since the early this year and I can't say enough good things about her. As a therapist, she is one of the best I have been fortunate enough to meet. She is compassionate, empathetic and has a wonderful zest for life. She has excellent listening and communication skills. Her therapeutic techniques are extremely effective. She is very smart and is constantly keeping up with current scientific research.
As a supervisor, Marina is an excellent professional. Her guidance has been invaluable in terms of helping

I started seeing marina over 5 years ago. She's extremely professional, intelligent, and committed to what she does. She's helped me find a positive perspective of the world around me by using logic to navigate my emotions. I really appreciate that she can be straightforward and has no problem calling me out when I'm not seeing things so clearly.
I'm happy to have found so much support in someone who is intuitive, witty, and has a good sense of humor. More than a therapist or a mentor she's become someone I look up to. I wouldn't have half the sanity I have now without

Marina is a wonderful and insightful therapist. She has seen me through marital and parenting challenges, helping me view my life with a different perspective. She has helped me with the loss of both of my parents (they passed away only 3 months apart from each other). She has helped me, and continues to do so, with the absence of my daughter who recently went out-of-state for her first year of college. Marina helps me with my anxiety "issues". Marina is very warm, intuitive, smart at what she does, and very sincere. I definitely recommend Marina !!

I've been using Marina's services for over three years. From the very beginning she struck me as a very personable yet highly professional and deeply ethical specialist in her field of business. She helped me to rediscover myself and to deal with my issues and problems from the logical and reasonable standpoint, rather than from the purely emotional approach. Yet, my feelings were never hurt and they always were into account while the acceptable solution was developed.
