Services
Caregivers of New Jersey is dedicated to providing a central point of contact on caregiving issues, resulting in more effective information dissemination, increased support and awareness and advocacy. Caregivers of New Jersey was formed in response to the growing number of caregivers within the state.
The Support Coordinators work with individuals with developmental disabilities in creating and developing life plans. Currently, Caregivers of New Jersey supports the 1,850 individuals living in developmental centers who wish to be transitioned into the community. Have they been trained not only in Essential Lifestyle Planning, but the new NJ Individualized Support Plan (ISP) and the Person Centered Planning Tool (PCPT)?.
Groups of interested stakeholders in Middlesex, Salem and Gloucester Counties are holding discussions preliminary to possibly launching new coalitions.
